Destiny POV

I look at Lvy's store, I take a minute to admire it. The building is in a victorian style, and the colors of the store are purple and black. It really gives witch.

I walk towards the store and I come inside, a bell rings as soon as I get in. A head of me I see, a young girl and Lvy. Lvy is behind the desk with an annoyed expression.

"You can't keep overusing them Lucinda, I don't want your mother cussing me out again." She stated sternly.

"I know, I know, I know. This is the last time, promise." Lucinda reply in a hurry. Lvy grown her brows, that give me the sense that the promise is not going to be fulfilled.

Lvy turns her back and reach for a bottle that is in a cabinet. She turns back to the girl and puts the potion on the counter. "Thanks Lvy!" Lucinda grabs it and quickly leave the store.

I laugh at the action, she must have things to do. Lvy roll her eyes and her eyes finally met me. She in a flash puts on a smile. "Hey girl, I'm glad to see you in my shop."

"Hi, I'm glad to see you too." I greet her back. I start looking around, this place is a lot. There is racks of bottles that most likely have a potion in them. There are crystals, books, and unique items.

I take a good look at the books, maybe one of these have history on people like me. I grab one of the books, and I bite my lip. I can't read this, the words are in a language I never seen before.

I sigh and put the book back. "Do you need any help." I jump a little when I hear her voice so close to me. She laughs, I guess that from seeing my reaction. I turn and see she's right next to me.

"Well yes I do." She continues to look at me, waiting for me to go on. I try playing with my hands, "Can we talk somewhere private?" She look around the store and nod.

"Follow me to the back." She walk to her back room and I follow her. Inside the room, the walls are painted black with stars as an accent. There's a table in the middle with a big cauldron. This place is full of ingredients and books.

With a move of her hand, a chair comes out of nowhere and is place next to me. I look at it and looks at her. She nod her head in confirmation, so I sit on it.

"So what is your problem?" She ask me.

"Have you ever met or know of people that can read minds?" Her eyes went wide and I stare at her blankly.

"What is it?" With a quick motion of her hand she get all her book in the air, I look in awe of what I see. Her eyes look through the pages of the books. Her gaze stop at a book, the rest of the fall and she guides that to her hands.

"Tell me more about yourself." She ask.

  "How do you know it's even about me?" She gets her face from the book and look at me with bore expression.

"If you couldn't tell, I'm a witch. I can sense peoples auras, and yours is different. I couldn't understand why, but hearing now that you might be something I never heard of. Is so interesting to me, so tell me more about yourself."

I fidget with my nails. "I don't really know myself." I say lowly.

She raise a brow in confusion. I let out a sigh, "My ability is new to me and I can't control it." My gaze still rest on her, she nod in understanding.

"No wonder you didn't answer my second question. You were seen as human, before recently." I nod in confirmation.

"I'll still help you, but you have to give me something that I can work with."

"Like what?"

" How it works, does it come when you're heighten with emotion, or when did it start. Anything like that." 

I start thinking about it. The first time it started happening, was a few days after I got the news that grandma died.

I was in the park just crying my eyes out, because I couldn't go to her funeral since I'm "human". Then all of a sudden a child went up to me offering a tissue they had. I look into their eyes and I heard their thoughts. "Why is the lady crying."

  I was freaked out, and left the park thinking my mind was playing tricks on me. But when I was walking back to my then apartment, I bump into a person and looked into their eyes. And I heard their thoughts. "Great another blind person."

That when I knew something was off. I look up at Lvy. "I think I have an idea."

"I'm all ears."

"It started a few days after my grandma died, and I look into the eyes of some people."  She listens and start flipping through the pages of the book.

She stop on a page, "I think I got something." She turns the book to me and I start reading the page.

There were a group of people who had purple eyes. These people had many abilities like healing, mind reading, and telekinesis. Their name is unknown, I frown. Now I have more questions than answers. Who are these people? Will I get more abilities later? And why don't I have purple eyes?

I give the book at to her. She notice the grimace on my face. "Hey what's wrong?"

"It's just that I have more questions than answers. Who are these people and am I the only one out there like me?...I just feel so lost."

  "I understand. When I first read it, I felt like it was vague too. But don't let this beat you down, it's only one conclusion we went down. There's probably more groups of people that have your abilities, so don't give up hope." She tries to reassure me.

  "I know...it's like the only person who would help me understand my ability, would have been my grandma. But since she's not here, I'm basically all by myself." Lvy frown sadly but nods.

"Lvy you did try to help me today, and I will be forever grateful for that. Thank you." I smile to her and she smiles softly back.

I get up from the chair and grab my things. Before I leave the store, she call for me. "Let keep in contact." I agree and we gave our phone numbers. I leave the store and start getting home.

I'm laying on my bed just thinking about today. I might be these people with purple eyes or I can be something else entirely.

I'm just so lost, I don't have no idea how to control my ability, I miss my grandma, and I just want to fill at home again.

I feel so empty, and I don't want to feel this way. I turn to my side and tears fall.
