XXXIV. Awkward

Three Days Later (September 9, 2014 ; Tuesday) ...

Third Person's POV :

It's Hekasi period (Heogropiya Kasaysayan at Sibika) and classes Leviticus and Genesis are told to be in one room, Class Genesis's classroom. Leviticans are just going inside, bringing their long tables. While some Genesisians were connecting three of their long tables and putting them to the right side of the room then goes back to their seats and the other Genesisians were connecting the other three long tables and putting the to left side of the room.

And even though it's Hekasi period, there's no teacher facilitating them. Because of that, the room is noisy.

Jessica moved the curtain. She saw Sir Randy walking to the room.

Jessica : Sir Randy's coming na!

Everyone stands up one by one. Sir Randy opens the door, walks to the demonstration table and stands behind t after putting his folders on the table.

Sir Randy : Magandang hapon sa inyong lahat,

All : Magandang hapon po, Ginong Randy. Maligayang pagdating.

Sir Randy : Magandang hapon at maaari kayong umupo.

All : Salamat po.

All sat down.

Sir Randy : Before we start ...

He looks around.

Sir Randy : Genesis, sino'ng absent?

Genesisians : Harry, Selene and Nathan.

Sir Randy : Bakit? Ano'ng nangyari sa kanila?

Marvette : Si Selene po ... is at the hospital.

Sir Randy : Bakit?

Marvette : All i know is that it had something to do with her congenital heart disease.

Some were shocked with what Marvette said- this includes Sir Randy.

Sir Randy : Everyone! We should pray for Selene.

He convinced everyone.

Sir Randy : How 'bout Mr. Alejandro (Harry)?

Julia : Sir ... he texted me kanina during lunch break. He said he has asthma.

Sir Randy : We should also pray for Harry.

He said.

Sir Randy : How 'bout Nathan?

John : Sir, he's in St. Luke's. He had an injury.

Sir Randy : We should also pray for Nathan.

Sir Randy sighed.

Sir Randy : Kylie, ikaw,

Kylie : Yes Sir?

Sir Randy : kumusta na ang anemia mo?

Kylie : Fine ... somehow. I feel dizzy rarely. But sometimes it worsens.

Sir Randy nodded.

Sir Randy : How about you, Bettina? You're sickly pa naman.

Bettina : I didn't get sick for a long time na. Pero ... I'm feeling-

She didn't finish her sentence.

Sir Randy : You're ... feeling ... what?

Bettina : Never mind, Sir.

She said while secretly massaging her temples.

Sir Randy sighed.

Sir Randy : Genesisians, you guys should really take care of your health.

most Genesisians : Yes Sir!

Sir Randy : Sa Leviticus? May absent?

Leviticans : Wala po, Sir.

Sir Randy : Okay then ... since there are vacant seats ... Karlos, sit in Julia's group.

Karlos got his Hekasi things, went to Julia's group and sat on Harry's place.

Sir Randy : Drake, in Selene's place, beside Daryl.

Drake got his Hekasi things and did what Sir Randy said.

Sir Randy : JV, in Nathan's place, beside John.

JV got his Hekasi things and did what Sir Randy said.

Drake and JV are in the same table.

Sir Randy : Okay ... is there a vacant seat pa?

Marvette : Yes Sir!

She made her voice loud enough for Sir Randy to hear.

Marvette : Beside Kylie.

Sir Randy : Okay. Mr. Gonzales ... beside Kylie.

Rodrick hesitantly got his things and got his chair and sat beside Kylie.

It was very awkward because Kylie was in between Rodrick and Ezekiel.

Rodrick's barkada stared at him. Karlos went to Rodrick.

Karlos : Ang pen mo.

He gave the pen to Rodrick.

Karlos : Meron akong sasabihin sa'yo.

He said as he whispered to Rodrick's ear.

Rodrick : Ano yun?

Karlos : Awkward.

He whispered the word slowly.

Rodrick : Ewan ko sa'yo!

He slapped Karlos's shoulder.

Rodrick : Bumalik ka nga don!

Karlos chuckled.

Rodrick : Sira ka! Nakakahiya ka!

Karlos : Bakit? Hindi naman niya narinig.

Rodrick : Kahit na!

Karlos : Hindi naman niya narinig.

He tried to convince him again.

Rodrick : Bumalik ka nga don!

Karlos went back to his assigned seat.

Sir Randy started his lesson. Rodrick, Kylie and Ezekiel weren't noticing each other.

Rodrick wasn't listening. At all.

Rodrick : P*** ka Sir Randy! Sa lahat nang pwedeng makatabi ko, yung crush ko pa!

He said to his iner self.

Rodrick : Hindi naman yun ang talagang pinoproblema ko! Ang problema ay ... ang crush ko ay katabi ng ka-'love team' niya!

He said to his iner self.

Rodrick : F***! Ang awkward neto!

He said to his iner self.
