Third Person POV
Lan Wangji, a man of few words, emanates an icy and impassive aura. An introvert by nature, he is renowned for his unwavering commitment to upholding rules, surpassing even the strictness of his esteemed uncle.
While he can be a friend, beware, for he can swiftly transform into a formidable foe if you dare to provoke him. His intimidating presence and reputation have left him without any true companions, as others are gripped by fear and intimidation in his presence.
Yet, the absence of friendship has never troubled the stoic Jade, for it remains challenging for him to place his trust in others.
As he sets foot inside the Jingshi, a sanctuary of solitude, he gracefully approaches his table and summons his cherished Zither.
Fingers gliding over each string, he weaves a melody that resonates within the serene confines of the "Quiet Room" of Wangji, a fleeting moment of musical solace.
Suddenly, the sound of hurried footsteps reaches his ears, causing him to raise his head. His golden eyes meet a pair of silver orbs.
With his strict demeanor resurfacing, he inquires, "Where have you been?"
The Jade's piercing gaze falls upon the child before him, who offers a hesitant smile in response.
Morning 7:00
The Lan disciples gracefully emerge from their quarters, diligently carrying out their duties with unwavering dedication.
Meanwhile, the guest disciples swiftly make their way to the Orchid Room, where Lan Qiren is set to deliver his enlightening lectures.
Amidst the bustling crowd, the Jin disciples led the way, with Jin Zixuan contemplating approaching the head disciple of Yunmeng beside him. However, Wei Wuxian, with a subtle shake of his head, advised against it.
Confusion briefly clouded Zixuan's expression, but upon recognizing the reason behind Wuxian's gesture, he refrained from further inquiry.
Yanli's breath caught in her throat as she caught sight of Jin Zixuan. Wuxian sighed in disbelief at the sight, crossing his arms as he shook his head.
He walked past Yanli and entered the Lecture Hall. Inside, the presence of the Lan disciples was sparse, save for his closest friend, who awaited him.
" I'll make sure to talk to him after the ceremony," Zixuan murmured to himself, his gaze lingering on the Head Disciple of Yunmeng with a mix of longing and determination.
"Young Master Jin," the young master bowed politely towards Yanli and walked past her.
The Head Disciple ordered Zixuan to distance himself from Yanli, and the young master would do just that. Besides, he disliked her, so it was easy for him.
Wuxian ventured further into the Lecture Hall, eventually arriving at the front row beside the second Jade, who was engrossed in writing within his book. Jiang Cheng's face contorted with disgust at the sight before him.
"Whore," he silently muttered, choosing to distance himself from the lad by taking a seat far away. However, his irritation dissipated instantly upon catching sight of the arrival of the first Jade. Lan XiChen gracefully entered the Hall, exuding his usual warmth and radiance.
