Third Person POV
The next morning arrived with a sense of eager anticipation and a touch of urgency.
As the sun gracefully ascended, its radiant rays casting a warm golden hue over the land, Wuxian found himself awake earlier than usual.
His mind buzzed with thoughts of the day ahead, a mixture of excitement and determination fueling his every move.
With a swift and practiced grace, Wuxian adorned himself in his pristine white hanfu, the fabric flowing effortlessly around his form.
He carefully secured the vibrant red ribbon in his hair, each movement deliberate and purposeful.
In the midst of his preparations, a gentle yet firm hand encircled Wuxian's waist, drawing him into an affectionate embrace.
He turned, his eyes meeting the adoring gaze of his husband, XiChen. A soft smile graced his lips as their eyes locked in a moment of unspoken understanding.
"Hey, beautiful," XiChen greeted him, his voice filled with a tenderness that made Wuxian's heart flutter.
Their lips met in a sweet kiss, a testament to their deep love and affection. As they pulled away, their foreheads met, their closeness a comforting anchor in the sea of possibilities that lay before them.
Curiosity danced in Wuxian's eyes as he inquired about the whereabouts of his other beloved partner, Lan Wangji. "Where's A-Zhan?" he asked, his voice laced with a gentle curiosity.
"He's currently in a meeting with Uncle and Clan Leader Nie. I'll be joining them shortly," XiChen explained, his voice carrying a sense of reassurance. "But before I go, I wanted to check on my wife. Have you had your breakfast?"
Wuxian's smile grew wider, his heart fluttering at the endearing term of endearment. "I have. Don't worry too much," he reassured, his voice laced with affection. He reached out, gently caressing XiChen's cheek with his fingertips. "By the way, when are we going to return home? I don't want to stay here any longer, A-huan..please..do something." Wuxian pleaded, his anxiety and restlessness becoming more palpable within the confines of the Jin Sect.
XiChen's eyes softened with understanding, his thumb tracing comforting circles on Wuxian's hand. "Don't worry, my love. After the meeting, we'll make our way back home," he promised, his voice filled with sincerity. "In the meantime, why don't you spend some time with your siblings?"
Wuxian's expression shifted, a frown etching upon his features as he pulled away from his husband's embrace. XiChen's concern was evident in his voice as he asked, "Is something amiss, Angel?"
Wuxian crossed his arms, a mixture of emotions swirling within him. "Nothing significant... just..." he trailed off, biting his lower lip as he glanced back at XiChen, his eyes reflecting a hint of frustration.
The memories of the previous night's events still lingered, causing a twinge of irritation. He needed to address something, to confirm a matter that weighed heavily on his mind.
XiChen's voice softened as he spoke, his concern evident. "I thought you both had already talked it out. You already forgave each other, didn't you?" he asked, his words filled with a gentle reminder.
Wuxian nodded, his expression serious. "You're right... maybe I should go talk to them," he said, his tone reflecting his determination.
