Third Person POV
The Next Day
As the morning sun bathed Cloud Recesses in a warm glow, I made my way towards the Dining Hall, my footsteps light and purposeful. The air was filled with a sense of anticipation, as if the day held something special in store. Lost in my thoughts, I suddenly noticed Wangji walking towards me, a soft smile playing on his lips.
"Weiying, I was just on my way to fetch you," he said, his voice filled with warmth. I blinked in surprise, not expecting him to be waiting for me.
"Wangji, what brings you here?" I asked, a mixture of curiosity and delight bubbling within me.
"Wei Ying," he called out, his voice carrying a hint of excitement. "Would you like to join me for breakfast?"
I blinked in surprise, not expecting such an invitation from him. Why is he acting this way all of a sudden? "Sure, Lan Zhan," I replied, a smile tugging at the corners of my lips. "I'd be happy to."
As we walked together, I couldn't help but notice the shocked expressions on the faces of the Lan disciples and guest disciples. Their gasps filled the air, and I could sense their curiosity and confusion.
Seriously, did they think that Wangji and I are enemies. Unbelievable, Wangji always had a cold and emotionless face yet it doesn't mean he is that mean to me. He just doesn't like expressing his emotions that much whenever there's so many people involved.
Together, we walked towards the Dining Hall, engaging in light-hearted conversation along the way. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of camaraderie, as fellow disciples greeted each other with nods and smiles.
As we settled at a table, our breakfast spread before us, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. The aroma of freshly cooked food filled the air, tantalizing our senses and awakening our appetites.
As we savored our breakfast, the atmosphere in the Dining Hall buzzed with a sense of camaraderie. The sound of clinking cutlery and the murmur of conversations created a lively ambiance. Disciples moved about with grace and discipline, their interactions filled with respect and harmony.
I couldn't help but notice the gasps and widened eyes of the Lan and guest disciples around us. They seemed shocked to see us together, their preconceived notions shattering before their eyes.
Amidst the surprised gazes, Wangji's smile remained steady, his eyes filled with warmth as he looked at me. It was as if the world around us faded into the background, leaving only the two of us in that moment.
After finishing our breakfast, we made our way towards the orchid room, the anticipation building within us. The atmosphere in Cloud Recesses crackled with a mix of curiosity and intrigue, as the disciples wondered what this newfound camaraderie between us meant.
Entering the orchid room, we found seats together, Wangji's invitation to sit beside him filling me with a mixture of gratitude and excitement. But I began to ponder, if it's really okay. They would get suspicious and..Aish..
As we took our seats, the other disciples couldn't help but steal glances at us, their curiosity piqued. The room was filled with fellow disciples, eyes still wide with surprise.
Master Lan entered the room, his presence commanding respect and attention. He glanced at Wangji and me, his eyes holding a hint of amusement. "Today's lecture," he began, his voice firm yet gentle, "will be on the importance of discipline and cooperation."
As Master Lan began his lecture, I listened intently, my gaze occasionally drifting towards Wangji. Sitting beside him, I felt a comforting warmth, as if his presence alone could banish any traces of boredom or sleepiness.
