Third Person POV

Cloud Recesses: Jingshi

In the serene ambiance of the Jingshi, XiChen delicately placed the teacup upon the table, his gaze fixed upon his brother. With a hint of curiosity, he inquired, "Pray tell, dear brother, what prompted you to seek this conversation with me?"

Wangji's countenance grew solemn, his voice carrying a resolute tone, "Think of fortifying our security forces,"

Curiosity danced in XiChen's eyes as he questioned, "What spurred this idea, my brother?"

" Xiongzhang knows the reason yet chooses to ask Wangji still.." XiChen chuckles, amused at his brother's response.

XiChen conceded, "Very well then, I grant you permission to proceed as you see fit."

Wangji's gaze remained steady, his commitment unwavering as he confessed, "It is a matter of responsibility. The weakening of the barrier falls upon the one who caused it."

XiChen chuckled softly, his shoulders shrugging in a gesture of acceptance, as he spoke. "Ah, my dear brother, your sense of duty is truly commendable. But let us not forget the silver lining amidst this challenge - we now have the perfect excuse to spend more time with our beloved A-ying," he explained, a mischievous smirk playing on his lips.

Wangji understood the implications of their situation, realizing that strengthening their wards would require the assistance of none other than Wuxian himself.

This unexpected turn of events presented a golden opportunity for the three of them to bond and create memories away from the distractions and disturbances that often plagued their lives.

With Master Lan engaged in discussions with Nie Mingjue in Qinghe, they would have an entire week to immerse themselves in each other's company, a prospect that ignited a spark of excitement within the Twin Jades' hearts.

XiChen playfully taunted his brother, shaking his head in mock disappointment. "Surely, dear brother, you wouldn't deny the sheer joy of spending additional time with our beloved. He would be quite disheartened to learn otherwise," he teased, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

Wangji sipped his tea, his expression contemplative. "Xiongzhang, what plans do you have in mind? It must be something exhilarating and filled with intrigue. A-ying tends to grow bored easily," he remarked, his words laced with a hint of anticipation.

XiChen reassured his brother with a knowing smile, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Rest assured, dear brother, I have meticulously crafted a grand adventure that will captivate and delight. A-ying will have no reason to feel anything but sheer excitement," he declared, his voice brimming with confidence.

Their conversation was abruptly interrupted by the sound of the Jingshi door swinging open. And there, standing before them, was the person they had been discussing - Yu Wuxian, the head disciple of Yunmeng, the one who held their hearts captive.

"What kind of excitement are you two talking about?" he asked playfully, his voice brimming with curiosity and anticipation.

The Next Day

The sun bathed Cloud Recesses in its warm glow as Wuxian, XiChen, and Wangji gathered near the boundary of the Barrier. Their task was to reinforce the defenses, but mischief sparkled in the eyes of the mischievous twin brothers. Wangji, being a part of his brother's schemes, decided not to intervene and let him have his fun.

XiChen exchanged a mischievous glance with Wangji, a twinkle in their eyes. Leaning closer to Wuxian, XiChen whispered with mock concern, "A-ying, are you absolutely sure you won't accidentally turn the Barrier into a field of flowers? We might end up with floral intruders instead of actual threats!"
