Third Person POV
The Cloud Recesses bustled with activity as the guest disciples bid their farewells and departed, leaving behind a sense of anticipation in the air. Lan Zhan and Lan Huan stood side by side, their expressions calm and collected, their minds focused on the plans they had set in motion.
As they observed the bustling courtyard, Lan Huan turned to Lan Zhan, his voice hushed yet determined. "Brother, time is running short. We must ensure that our plans remain on track."
Lan Zhan nodded, his gaze unwavering. "Hmm..Clan Leader Jin is cunning, and we cannot afford to underestimate him. We must stay vigilant and prepared for any challenges that may come our way."
Meanwhile, Wuxian, his curiosity piqued, approached the Twin Jades, his eyes gleaming with intrigue. "Hey, what are you two talking about? It seems like there's more to it than just sect matters."
Lan Zhan exchanged a brief glance with Lan Huan before turning to Wuxian, his expression calm yet guarded. "It's nothing of concern, just some administrative tasks that require our attention. Don't worry, A-ying."
Wuxian raised an eyebrow, his skepticism evident. "Keeping secrets from me now, are you? I thought we were all in this together, fighting side by side."
His frustration and curiosity intertwined, Wuxian couldn't help but express his feelings. "I don't appreciate being left in the dark. It feels like you don't trust me enough."
Lan Zhan's eyes softened, his voice gentle yet resolute. "A-ying, please understand that our intentions are rooted in our care for you. We trust you, but there are certain things we must protect you from. It's not a reflection of your abilities, but rather a way to ensure your safety."
Wuxian sighed, realizing the depth of the twins' concern. "Alright, I understand. Just promise me that you'll include me when the time is right. I don't want to be left out of the loop."
Lan Huan nodded, a warm smile gracing his face. "Of course, A-ying. You are an integral part of our plans, and we will make sure to involve you when the moment is appropriate."
Wuxian's confusion grew, his curiosity piqued by Lan Xichen's words. He crossed his arms and looked at the Twin Jades with a scrutinizing gaze. "What do you mean, A-huan?" he asked, his voice filled with both confusion and intrigue.
A gentle smile played on Lan Wangji's lips as he leaned closer to Wuxian, his voice soft yet filled with determination. "Come," he said, his fingers intertwining with Wuxian's as he led him outside the Lanshi.
Confusion deepened in Wuxian's eyes as they walked together, his mind racing with questions. "Where are we going?" he asked, his voice laced with curiosity and a hint of confusion.
Lan Xichen, following closely behind them, chimed in to provide an explanation. "Wangji prefers to be away from crowded places."
Under the warm rays of the afternoon sun, the surroundings were bathed in a golden glow, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere at the Cold Pond. Wuxian's eyes lit up with excitement as he took in the beauty of the tranquil scene.
As they arrived at the Cold Pond, Wuxian's initial hesitation was evident. The cool water had always been a challenge for him, but the reassuring presence of his beloved friends encouraged him to overcome his fear and embrace the moment.
With playful laughter and splashes, the trio immersed themselves in the water, letting go of their worries and embracing the carefree spirit of the afternoon. The Cold Pond, true to its name, remained a refreshing oasis, offering respite from the heat of the day.
The sun's warm rays danced on the water's surface, creating a shimmering spectacle that mirrored the joy in their hearts. The laughter of Lan Wangji, Lan Xichen, and Wuxian filled the air, intermingling with the sounds of nature, as if the world itself celebrated their bond.
