He opened the door for me. What a gentleman I thought. While walking, I noticed how well shaped Alec is. He's tall like a tree too! I sucked at defining people but you get my point right?
"Thanks!" I mumbled.
As soon as he got in the car, he buckled his seatbelt and he started driving. It was very awkward. Like brutally awkward!
"So, how was school so far? Anyone bothering you?" He asked.
Why would he ask me that. I can't help but cringe at him. Being inside here makes me anxious. My heart is pounding like crazy. I know for sure he can hear it. I tried calming myself.
Maybe he was just trying to be nice? Or maybe he is planning to do something bad to me? Like, why the sudden interest right? Oh my gosh. If only I could slap myself right now. This is such a huge mistake!
"Nope. No one is bothering me. And so far so good." I answered him back while looking out the window. I'm trying to sound like i'm not scared right now.
"Good." He then continues to drive me home which I instructed him which way should we go.
"Before I drop you home, I'm just going to buy something from the store. I need you to wait in the car. I'll be quick." He added.
"Sure." Was all I could say. What was I thinking? My parents must be proud of me right now. Note the sarcasm.
He then pulled over to a small shop and parked his car just right outside of it. He hopped out and got inside.
I did not notice that I fell asleep in his car. Probably because of the headache that I had experienced earlier this morning. The car ride is not that long but it feels like forever because of how awkward it was.
I can feel that he is so close to me. I can feel his breathing. As I opened my eyes, I can see his face a few inches away from me. My eyes widened!
"W-what are you doing??" I asked nervously. I sort of panicked.
"Unbuckling your seatbelt. We arrived here few minutes ago." As he unbuckle it. He smells so good! Like addicting good!
Crap! That was embarrassing. I want to smack myself in the head. Grrrrr I fell asleep in a stranger's car. He could've kidnapped me! But for some reason, I feel safe and secured when he's arround. Totally nonsense to actually say that to a person you just met!
"Alec, Thank you for dropping me home." As I walk towards my house. I called him by his first name. I only knew his name because of Jake but he did not formally introduce himself to me.
"Tori.." He paused. He walked closer to me. He burried his face to my neck and inhaled my scent deeply. I was standing there looking stupid. I just froze.
"I'll see you in school tomorrow." He continued. He then proceeded to his car and drive in the opposite direction. I was not able to respond to that.
What was that???? I am so confused right now!
I then went straightly to my room and burried my face to my pillows and squealed! I'm going crazy! Why do I feel like I need to see him more? What sorcery is this!
"Tori! Toriiiii! Are you home??" My aunt yelled from downstairs. That interrupted my overthinking for a moment.
"I am, Auntie! I'm in my room!" I yelled back.
"I brought dinner for us. Come down stairs!"
I made my way to the kitchen and saw that my Auntie bought some take outs from a diner near us. It was delicious! It was buttered chicken with some fries and tomato pasta. Comfort food!
"How did you get home?" She furrowed her brows.
"Ummm, a friend of mine dropped me home. This is delicious by the way!" I said.
"That's great! You made a friend! " She exclaimed. "I'm so sorry for what happened earlier. My car just broke down unexpectedly. I had to call for a mechanic which happens to be my friend. And yes! I discovered this diner yesterday and I thought i'd let you try their food as well. My favorite from them was the cajun shrimp alfredo pasta. So so so good!"
"No biggie, Aunt Mia! Things happened! But it's great that I home and safe" I assured her while continuing on devouring the food she bought for me until I finish it.
"Indeed! Now bring these empty plates to the sink i'll wash them." She responded.
I did what she told me and I went straight to my room. I took a bath and brushed my teeth. Before I sleep, I prepared my outfit for tomorrow. I chose to wear a long black sleeveless dress and paired it with my cropped beige knitted cardigan.
I quickly checked on Bridgette and told her to climb up the bed with me. I hugged her tightly and she tickled me by licking my nose. Such a sweet sweet girl! I love my baby so much! She's just so cute! She's the one keeping me sane and she's really adorable. She's not just a pet for me. She's my world!
After playing with Bridgette for a bit, I kissed her and said good night.
