Part 13 - Eventful

Two weeks have passed since I stayed with Alec. I still haven't heard from my Aunt Mia. She just called me once last week and assured me that everything is okay with her. I surprisingly enjoyed my time being with Alec and the pack house. After our kiss back in the lake house, Alec became really possessive towards me. No one can ever go near me especially a guy. It's a good thing though, I feel really valued. Every once in a while, he would sneak up and steal some kisses on me. I would playfully hit him and glare at him. Little did he know, I love every bit of it.

We are currently in the living room of the pack house right now, watching a movie. We are watching X-men Apocalypse. I snuggled on the couch with Alec and noticed that he suddenly tensed up. He just sat down their frozen.

(Alec's P.O.V)

Everything is going well with me and Tori. After we kissed at the lake house, my love for her grew stronger. I am happy that my mate is here, and she is okay with me as well. I still haven't marked her yet which I'm dying to do but she still doesn't know that I'm a werewolf. I am letting her to trust me and the people around her. I want to build that trust first before we reveal ourselves to her. In that way, she would not be afraid of us.

We are sitting right now in the couch, just chilling and watching a movie. I can see her face and seems really focused on what she's watching. Not until I was frozen buy the announcement of my warrior John.

"Alpha, I can smell rogues. We have spotted three but I think there's more! They're getting closer!" John mind linked me. I immediately jolted.

"Everyone! Listen carefully! All those who can fight, protect those who can't! We are under attack by rogues and I need every child and woman to be in our underground until we clear the area. Please, protect your Luna. Please protect Tori." I mind linked each and every member of my pack.

Everyone stood up in panic. Drew, Jake, Jarred, and David quickly went outside. as for Elina and Angela, I asked them to not leave Tori. I specifically told them to bring Tori to the underground and guard her with their lives.

"I will come back for you, Tori! I need you to follow Elina and Angela." I hugged her and kissed her on her forehead.

"W-what's going on?" She looked so confused and scared.

"We will explain later. Now let's go." Elina tried to dragged her but as stubborn as she is, she wants us to explain first before she goes to the underground.

"No! Y'all better explain what's going on and why are you all so tense?" She crossed her arms.

"I promise that I will explain later. You have to go now! They're getting closer." I said while ushering them to the stairs.

"Who's getting closer?? What the hell is going on?" She said angrily.

Before she could answer, the front door busted open revealing a dark brown wolf. He's half the size of me but he's a rogue. He can still fight.

I looked at Tori and as she widen her eyes and screamed. She is terrified!

"Elina, Angela, go! Take her with you!" They both nodded and grabbed Tori as she stand there frozen.

I don't want Tori to see me but the rogue is getting closer. Without further ado, I shifted. Right in front of my Mate. Right in front of Tori. Exposing my jet black huge wolf form.

"OH. MY. GOD!" Those were the last words I heard before I lounge myself to the rogue and killed him in an instant!

I brought myself outside the pack house and the scene right in front of me frightened me. There's blood everywhere and bodies of wolves that are dead already. My pack's safety is my priority and I just want everyone to be alive. I ran to the forest and found the exiled Alpha, Ashton. He was exiled and dethroned because he killed his own mate. Now, he is seeking revenge to each and every pack he comes across to. I won't let that happen, not on my watch.

He spotted me. He attacked me almost immediately as soon as I got here. My wolf form is slightly bigger than him. I dodged him and I bite his left leg causing him to growl even louder and angrier. He clawed my face and left a bleeding wound on my left cheek. I snarled back at him and hit him with my body causing him to fly to a nearby tree. He hissed in pain and quickly stood up. He launched himself again and this time, I know that he will be dead. I aimed straight to his throat, without having second thoughts, I slashed it open and he made a whimper sound before he finally took his last breath.

I killed him. For years, every pack is on high alert because of him. He have attacked and killed countless of wolves in every pack he ambushed. He became ruthless and most feared. He turned himself into a heartless monster after he killed his own mate. No one knows why he did it, what we know is he don't believe in mates. The remaining rogues surrenderred and some ran away. I sighed in relief thinking this is all over. I have to check on my members first before going to Tori.

I know I have a lot of explaining to do. I braced myself for what's coming.
