A few days has passed when you last saw Onceler, and well... Let's say that you deeply missed him. But you thought that you'd get through it! And looks like you didn't.

You looked at your window and felt... Empty?... Well, you didn't experienced being empty after a few years ago... You were overwhelmed since Onceler left.

Though, he has been talking about that, er... "Thneed", you didn't give that much interest to it. But seriously, he just wanted his family proud of what he was doing! you just couldn't believe on how much of a "she-devil" his mom was!... All she cared about was her 2 other children, "Brett and Chet", though, even if his family didn't want him.. You wanted him. You really did.

While you were looking at the window, thinking about everything your mind shows you, your mother walks near you and gives you cookies she baked. Oh how much you loved your mother's cookies!

You smile and looked at her, even though you and your mom gets disagreements, she still showed you love and care.

"Thanks, mom. These are the best!" You take one cookie and took a big bite out of it which made your mother chuckle.

"How sweet, my dear (Y/N) still enjoys my cookies!" She puts down the tray on the table and gave you a BIG hug!

You got surprised but hugged her back.

You loved your mother alot, since your father left you and your mother, it was just the 2 of you guys. It was sad, but you and your mother found ways to make home peaceful and happy... It's like your problems dissappear when you laugh with your mother.

Your mother lets go of you and looks at you softly.

"So, how's that 'Onceler' guy, hm?" Your mother sits beside you and looks at you with a teasing face.

You couldn't help but blush softly.

"I don't know mom, he left out of town to start his business and he never sent me a letter.." You couldn't help but sigh as you look at your mother.

Your mother nods.

"Oh, I see... Well, maybe he sends you a letter?... Well, er... I don't know." Your mother shrugs which made you chuckle. She has been a single mother for years now, so she doesn't remember any love tips that much anymore. So you just think about how to impress Onceler.

"Alright, mom. Thank you for your company, I appreciate it alot.." You give her a kiss on the cheek and she smiled.

"Glad I could help, Honey.." She replies in a sweet way.

You both smiled at each other. And before she left with the cookies, she winked at you and left.
