Chapter 2
Zayn's POV
I shouldn't have told her. No girl would be able to withstand the hate that she will get from million of directioners.
I've seen Eleanor and Danielle crack under the pressure of dating a One Direction member a few times, and the unnecessary and mean hate they had recieve.
I just didn't want MY girl to have to go through that, recieving insenstive and rude remarks. Or at least, know what's she's signing up for when she's dating me and have enough confidence in me and in our relationship.
I saw the hesitation in Perrie's face. After what seemed like eternity, I whispered "I guess.. I know your answer. It's okay, I understand. Good luck for the rest of your X factor competition"
I stood up and walked towards the door, feeling a little disappointed inside. I didn't like the feeling that I knew I was going to lose her the moment I stepped out of the door.
At least I managed to walk off while she was deciding on how to reject me. That helped me to save the little dignity of what I had left.
I took one last look at her, before forcing myself to tear my gaze away and to walk away from her, the person my heart yearned so much for.
I roughly placed my hand on the door, swiftly opened it and slammed it shut behind me.
I stormed towards the Mini Rover i borrowed from Harry and got into it, without looking back at the house and drove to Harry's house where the rest of the boys were.
{flashback}
"Hi, I saw you during the video shoot, I think you did great." I commented. I watched Perrie and her band mates flim for our charity single "wishing on a star" and her vocals were just amazing.
I had finally mustered the courage after much encouragement from the boys to approach Perrie.
Perrie spun around, facing me now.
I felt my heart flutter a little inside of me. "Thanks! You're Zayn from One Direction right?" She cheerfully replied.
I analyzed her facial features; her high cheekbones, her dazzling blue eyes and her lovely golden locks. She was so much more a beauty in reality than she already was on television, leaving me star-struck.
Watching the first live shows performance in the hotel room with the rest of the boys, I felt something different in my heart towards her, I knew I had to get her, and most importantly, I had the feeling she could be the one.
"Erm yeah.. Yeah I am Zayn, you must be Perrie. It's nice to meet you." I spluttered out, putting out my hand to initiate a handshake. I mentally slap myself, I must have made myself a fool in front of her.
Perrie chuckled and returned the gesture. "Well, it's nice to meet you. Hey, can I get a picture with you?"
"Well Erm, of course you can, I don't see why not." I was taken aback, I clearly did not see that coming. That was easy, getting a picture with my crush without having to ask for it.
"Hey Jade, help us take a picture will ya?" Perrie asked her band mate. I smiled broadly, genuinely and was hoping to somehow mesmerize her with my charm.
I took the chance to get her number by asking "hey, could you send me the picture? You know, in case one day you become really famous and I'll have to queue up to get a picture."
"You're really funny Zayn, it seems to be the opposite! What's your number then I'll send the picture to you."
{end of flashback}
I've reach Harry's house by the time I finished reminiscing my first encounter with Perrie.
I stopped the car, turned off the engine and slammed the steering wheel furiously. I was so mad with myself, for blowing the friendship I had with Perrie. Now we couldnt even be friends. Anger settled like a shroud on me.
I've done and screwed it. I've lost her.
