I lightly tapped on the door and Liam opened it. "Zayn? I thought you were over at Perrie's! What are you doing here?"

I pushed past Liam and slumped onto the couch, squeezing myself between Niall and Louis.

"Bro, what's wrong?" Louis asked seeing the disturbed look on my face.

"I wanted Perrie to be my girlfriend."

"And she rejected you?!" Harry, who seem to find this amusing, chipped in.

"No. As she was thinking of a way to politely reject me I stood up and walked off"

"You what?!" Niall exclaim. "How did you even know she was going to reject you?"

"I well erm, told her that she would be recieve loads of hate from fans and unwanted attention from the media.."

"Never thought that Zayn Malik, our little Bradford Bad Boy with millions of fans would get rejected a girl." Louis said bemused.

"Maybe you shouldn't have told her Zayn." Harry suggested.

"Why thanks, but guess what, I already did." Sarcasm filled my voice.

Louis backed me up. "I feel that Zayn did the right thing. Sometimes, I'm really afraid Eleanor will leave when she can take the hate no more."

"Zayn, what are you planning to do then?" Liam questioned.

"What am I supposed to do?" I asked confused.

"Zayn, you gonna give up right there? You've gotta keep trying. If you really want her,dont give up. We can all tell you really like her." Niall said as he gave me a reassuring pat on my shoulder.

Niall was so sweet. Everyone knew he had a slight crush on Perrie too, but here he is encouraging me to go for her.

I still remember the day where the interviewer asked who was our favourite member from Little Mix and Niall answered "the blonde one" I was taken by surprise but kept a straight face.

After the interview, I asked Niall "do you really like Perrie?"

"Yeah, she's pretty cute, why?"

"Oh... Nothing." The worse that could happen was fighting with my band mate over a girl.

"Our dear Zayn here has a crush on Perrie too." Louis informed Niall while swinging his hand over my shoulders.

Niall seemed stunned by Louis' words but after he recovered from the shock, he said, "I just find her the cutest in the band. Well, you should go for her Zayn, you two would be the perfect pop couple together."

I could tell that Niall was a little hurt, but it was really sweet of him to give up a girl for our friendship.

When Management informed us that X factor invited us to join in their charity single "wishing on a star" I was really excited yet nervous at the same time.

Ever since we've exchanged number on the video set of "wishing on a star", Perrie and I have been frequently texting each other and I often found myself checking my phone every few minutes for a reply from her.

We chatted about everything, families, hobbies, careers, friends and we grew closer and closer. i felt a really special yet indescribable bond with Perrie.

I took time off whenever i could to attend the X factor so that I could give her support.

"It's gonna be alright Perrie, don't be too nervous. I've heard you practiced and you're gonna nail it. You're a wonderful singer and it will be fine, I'll be right here after your performance."

Perrie's POV

Zayn was a really sweet and encouraging friend. Despite his busy schedule he always took the time off to watch me perform and give me support.

Him and his band mates were also often garnering votes for Little Mix through their hug fan base. I must admit, other than our families, One Direction has given us the most support, especially Zayn.

I always felt an unusual calmness when I'm around him. He keeps my nerves down and he always tells me I'm gonna be alright.

One Direction were invited to perform their new single, "gotta be you" during the week 6 live shows. I watched backstage through the television as they performed, admiring their talent.

"Perrie, stop gawking at Zayn Malik on tv already. You look like you are gonna kiss the screen anytime soon." Jade giggled as she teased me. "It's time to get ready for our own performance."

While preparing for the performance, we heard a knock on our dressing room door.

Leigh-Ann opened the door revealing the ever perfect and stunning Zayn Malik.

"Hi." I greeted. It was a little weird seeing him due the fact that we had been speaking through texts.

"Hi, I just wanted to say all the best. I'll be right here after your performance" he assured me, giving me a slight peck on the cheek.

"AWWW." The girls chorused in unison when Zayn left. I felt a little smitten and embarrassed by his kiss in front of my band mates.

"Little Mix! You're up!" The backstage crew informed us. We had a group hug before embracing ourselves for our item.

Once we were done with our performance, the girls and I held hands as we walked backstage.

True to his words, Zayn was still standing right where I saw him. I ran into his arms as he embraced me and he whispered into my ears "Great job Perrie, I love you." before pulling my body in and kissing me, our lips moving in sync.

The realization that Zayn wouldn't be there to support me during the X factor finale hit me, and I felt tears welling up in my eyes.

I cried into my pillow as the feeling of losing Zayn made me feel so uneasy. Why did I hesitate? What was I going to do without him now?

"Perrie! We're back!" I heard Jade's high-pitched voice as her footsteps were getting louder. The door open and Jesy who saw me crying, asked anxiously "oh my gosh, Perrie why are you crying? What happened?!"

"Wasn't Zayn supposed to come over? What did he do to you?!" Jade tried to get an answer to clear the confusion.

"Nothing, he did nothing to me." I sniffed. "He just asked me to be his girlfriend."

"Oh girl please don't tell me you're cryin of happiness now." Leigh-Ann said sarcastically.

"No, I didn't even get to answer him before he assumed that I was going to reject him and he left. He just turned around and left. All I did was stupidly watch him leave. What's wrong with me?"

"Nothing," Jade replied, "Nothing Perrie, do not blame yourself. You can always speak to him to clear the air but why not concentrate on the X factor first?"

"Yeah!" Jesy chipped in, "we'll always be here for you Perrie!"

"Thanks guys." I thanked, and pulling my three best friends for a group hug. They are the best thing I've gained from the X factor, three sisters.

"Perrie! Did you hear, One Direction is coming back to perform during the X factor finale with JLs!" One of the X factor finalist, Amelia Lily, who was a big fan squealed.

I froze. This only means that... I would be seeing Zayn during the X factor finale!

What do I do?! What do I say?! Was i supposed to be happy? Or to be frightened?! I didn't know. Oh this was such a disaster.
