💛~ Betrayal Hurts...

No-one's POV:

Zander groggily opened his eyes, the morning light filtering through the curtains. He glanced over to see Luke still buried under the covers, his cheeks stained with tears. Zander knew what was wrong, he knew that something like it would happen eventually. Zander hated him now.

"Luke, you can't stay in bed all day, you're going to make yourself feel worse" Zander said softly, his voice filled with concern and heartache.

Luke mumbled something incoherent, his voice muffled by the pillows and sheer amounts of blankets that were piled on top of him.

Zander leaned into Luke's back, nuzzling closer. "Come on, love. You know staying in bed won't reverse what happened." He sighed, bringing his legs up to wrap around him.

Luke threw off the covers, turning to face Zander, his eyes red and puffy. "But Zander, Jake...he betrayed us. How can I trust anyone again? I should've listened to you when you said- not to- trust him...!!" He sobbed, burying his face into his beloveds shoulder.

Zander's heart sank as he listened to his boyfriend's cries. He brought his hands up to stroke his hair, knowing it bought him comfort.

"I understand, Luke. But I suppose people never change. But, we don't need him anymore. Hailey can sing a hundred times better than that uncultured asshole." Zander said, his voice filled with spite.

Luke sighed, his body visibly slumping. "I know you're right, Zander... But Jake was a good friend of ours..."

Zander kissed Luke contently, sharing his love with him. "Well, at least we have each other. I promise you, I'll support you though thick and thin."

Luke managed a small smile, his eyes filled with love and a sense of comfort. "Thank you, Zander. What would I do without you..?"

Zander leaned in and kissed Luke's lips, pulling him close enough to feel his breath intertwine with his own. Luke pulled him in more, savouring the kiss they shared together.

After a long and warm kiss, Zander managed to get Luke out of bed. The pair spent the day at the shopping mall, forgetting about their miseries.
