PART 3:

"Zander stood there, stunned. "I... Jake, wait!!" He called out after him. Hailey turned to Zander, a hand on his shoulder, shooting him a cold look. "Zander, why would you bring that up? You know that he's changed!" She hissed, waiting for an answer. "I didn't mean to... I just- I wasn't sure that he..." Zander's eyes filled with tears."

Hailey's expression softened as she saw the genuine remorse in her step-brother's eyes, the tears still keeping a constant flow down his now rosy cheeks. She sighed, realizing that her brother's anger had been fueled by a mix of past, hurt and worry. "Zander, we all want to believe that people can change. It's not easy, but we have to give him a chance to prove himself. We all know Jake wouldn't have spoken to someone that hurt us if he knew it would happen again!" she said, her voice filled with empathy.

Zander wiped away his tears and nodded, realizing the truth in Hailey's words. "You're right, Hailey. I shouldn't have let my anger get the best of me. I'll go talk to Jake and apologise. And... I'm sorry for acting do childish." he said, determined to make things right.

Luke smiled at him, patting his shoulder in a comforting manner. "I'm proud of you." He whispered, leaving Zander's eyes wide and happier.

Zander turned away, and with purpose in his steps, Zander headed down the corridor in search of Jake. He found him sitting on a bench near the performance venue, his shoulders shaking with silent sobs. Zander approached him cautiously, taking a deep breath to steady himself.

"Jake...? I'm sorry," Zander began, his voice filled with genuine regret. "I let my anger cloud my judgment, and I shouldn't have lashed out at you like that... I know you're trying to change, and I want to believe in you...!" Zander reasoned, tears refilled his eyes.

Jake looked up, his eyes red and puffy. "You... you really mean that?" he asked, his voice shaky. Zander nodded, sitting down beside him. "Yes, I do. We've all made mistakes, and forgiveness is a powerful thing. We can move forward, but we need to trust each other... And I need to learn that! And I will! So please..."

Jake wiped away tears and stains from his cheeks and took a deep breath. "I want to make things right, Zander. I've realized how much I've hurt all of you, and I want to be a better person. Can you give me a chance?" he asked, his voice filled with hope and newfound determination.

Zander looked into Jake's eyes, seeing a genuine desire for change. He remembered the times they had shared, the laughter and the music they had created together, The happiness he had made Hailey feel that no one else could and more importantly for helping Luke get them together. Slowly, he nodded. "I'll give you a chance, Jake. And I hope you'll give me one too."

Jake nodded, a mix of gratitude and determination in his eyes. "I won't let you down, Zander. Thank you for everything." he said, his voice filled with sincerity.

As they made their way back to the performance venue, Zander felt a sense of hope. He knew that forgiveness and second chances were not easy, but he believed in the power of redemption. Their band had faced adversity before, and with unity and understanding, they could overcome anything.

The time for their performance approached, and as they took the stage, Zander looked at his bandmates—Hailey, Sean, Luke, Milly, and Jake. They were no longer just a group of individuals, but a team ready to create something beautiful together.

The music began to play, filling the air with melodies and harmonies. Zander closed his eyes, letting the music guide him, knowing that their journey was just beginning. And with newfound forgiveness and friendship, they were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

As the song reached its crescendo, Zander opened his eyes, a smile spreading across his face. They were no longer defined by their past but by the strength of their bond, their shared love for music, and their unwavering belief in each other.

Looking into the crowd, his eyes once again filled with tears, but of joy. Wet streaks of black slithered down his cheeks as he cried, ruining his perfect make-up and staining his clothing. Luke held his hand firmly as they left the stage, a new love forming between them.

Thank you all for your patience! I loved writing it!
