Zander stood there, stunned. "I... Jake, wait!!" He called out after him. Hailey turned to Zander, a hand on his shoulder, shooting him a cold look. "Zander, why would you bring that up? You know that he's changed!" She hissed, waiting for an answer. "I didn't mean to... I just- I wasn't sure that he..." Zander's eyes filled with tears.

"I'm going after him, we need him in 10 minutes." Sean declared, running off down the hall in the same direction as his close friend. Luke turned to Zander "I can't believe you lashed out at him..." He spoke, disappointment lacing through his voice.

"I don't know what came over me..." Zander muttered, "Maybe it was the thought that he would betray us again...?" He looked at the floor, matching the same level of disappointment that Luke had shown to him in his own voice.

Luke sighed, "Zander, I know it's hard to accept change, but we have to let go of the past and move forward eventually. Just because he has a new friend, doesn't mean that they'll be the same as Drew..." He explained, placing his hands on Zander's shoulders.

Zander stayed quiet, trying to process what Luke had said to him. His heart race picked up at the need to cry, blinking to try and remove the tears from his eyes, but to no avail. Sending a warm stream of tears to roll down his cheeks, smudging the black eyeliner down his face. "I'm so sorry! I-I just—"
