chapter 9: to the hide out!

It didn't take the team long to get to the clearing where the fight between naruto and orochimaru took place, walking into the middle of the destroyed field where sais ink patch sprayed on the floor, some of his stuff littering around everywhere, including the picture book that belonged to his brother that he showed to sakura earlier at the hot springs. Naruto tapped the soil with his shoe lightly but still creating two small holes "the ground is still soft"
"Like the bridge. What happened here?"

captain yamato took note of narutos memory loss "You don't remember anything naruto?" Captain yamato addressed him

Naruto glared down on the ground, clearly trying to recount what happened "that's another thing I don't get, why was I unconscious?" Min and Sophia share a look between the pair

"Orochimaru attacked you and knocked you out" Sakura swiftly lies

Naruto exploded with rage "oh come on! You got to be kidding me!"

Min gave naruto a small tap on his shoulder "sais things are scattered all over why would he leave his picture book?" Sakura asked no one in particular examining it "This doesn't make sense this book is sais souk poessiom why would he leave it here?"

Sophia crossed her arms looking at the old looking paint book "he would of had a reason"

"Why leave something so precious behind even he must of been rattled dealing with orochimaru"

Sakura turned to captain yamato "what exactly happened to sai?"

"Sai had a conversation with orochimaru" captian yamato answers "how did you know that captian yamato?"

"I had a clone here and we were in contact the whole time" he pointed to his ear where a head piece sat lodged in his ear

"And then he left with him and kabuto"

"What?!" Naruto gasps "what did they talk about?" Catain yamato couldn't answer sakuras question "I was too far to hear"
"I wonder, what could he have said to him?" Naruto rubbed his chin "maybe he was forced to go along against his will?"

Sophia shook her head at Sakura "no he would of left on his own accord, even him approaching orochimaru seemed to be his own will"

"Sai did give him something" captain yamato pointed out

"Hang on, sai maybe a big jerk but there is no way he would betray us" naruto shouted

"Actually that is possible" Sakura adds. Min looks at Sakura with a raised eyebrow "captain yamato have you heard of a man named danzo?" He nods "Yes I have"

"I've never heard of the guy, who is he?" Captain yamato answers narutos question. Min losing interest began to look at the slight prints the three left, her blue eyes gazed in the direction they fled to, and where the clone of captain yamato followed them To

"So then this whole mission he played us? Went along with us until he could get in contact with orochimaru?" Sophia snorted a little,who would want to talk to a snake?

"I have a feeling I know what's going on, listen closely. I think danzo may be plotting the destruction of the leaf village"

"What do you mean destroy the village? That's old news!" Naruto exclaims "I think he means he is planning it right now naruto" min points out

"What?!"

"But that means..my lady" Sakura and min share a small look between the two, even though they didn't get along, when Sakura voices her concerns over her teacher, and hokage of the leaf village the two didn't feel well to be away from their teacher if her life is in danger
