127. Sleep

I woke up to the babies crying over the monitor.

"Ah, shit..."

Ghost sighed and stood up.

"I can't walk. Can you bring them to me?" I asked and Ghost chuckled.

"Sure thing, love."

A moment later, Simon appeared with the twins and I sat up.

"Hi babies! hungry?" I asked and held them to feed them.

Simon watched silently with a smile.

After we were done, we burped and changed them.

"I'll be right back." He took the twins and put them to sleep in their own room.

I waited for him and when he came back, I went to bed.

I woke up a few hours later and Simon was staring at me.

He smiled when he saw me open. My eyes and I couldn't help but smile back.

"How'd you sleep?"

"As good ask you can sleep with two 4 month olds and a one year old."

He kissed my forehead and got up.

He was just in his cute boxer I got him for Father's Day.

"You stay here. I'll be right back with breakfast.

"I can help."

"It's already made. I just need to bring it up."

I grinned and watched him leave.

He's so handsome.

He came back a few minutes later with a tray of pancakes.

"Aww, love, you shouldn't have!"

"Of course I should. You're my beautiful wife, you deserve it."

I kissed him and he kissed back.

"I have a mission to go on, but I'll be back with everyone for dinner. Do you mind starting on the steaks?"

"It's no problem at all." I smiled and he got up.

"Ima shower. I'll see you after then I'll leave."

"Okay." I smiled and looked at my phone.

No no no no!

I answered the phone when I heated the water turn on.

"Makia, I'm retired. I'm not going on a mission."

"You have to!"

"I'm not doing it!"

"You better! Ever since you left, our funds plummeted!"

"Then work harder!"

"I am!"

"No, you're hanging out with Stacy! Now get to work!"

"Do it!"

"No! I have no one to watch over the kids!"

"I can come over."

"Why don't you do then mission!?"

"I broke my arm."

"You're not watching my kids with a broken arm."

"I'm perfectly capable of doing it."

"Nope."

"YN, the sanctuaries need you."

"And my family needs more. Send Steve or something."

I hung up the phone.

I got up and opened the bathroom door.

I was already named so I stepped into the shower with Simon.

He turned to look at me and smiled.

I smiled back and he let me step into the water.

"Wanna tell me what's wrong?" He asked.

"Makia called."

"Uh oh."

"She wanted me to go on a mission."

"And what did you tell her?"

"I said no. But there's no one else to do the mission."

"I see." He said giving me a nice relaxing scalp massage.

"I just feel bad. They need the money and I'm saying no to them."
