Stones of life ( oh hold )

Chapter 2

"Grace you can't tell my mom or anyone about this map and key. Promise me you won't." Joey asks while looking into my eyes.
"I won't tell anyone, now can you please stop looking at me like that. It's like your trying to read my sole." I say while sitting down. "Oh..ugh..ya..sure" he say awkwardly. "Ok, so.... Where did you find this map?" I ask while looking around joeys attic.

When you really look at his attic, there's a lot of dust and boxes, but one box really caught my eye. It was big and had an old look to it like it was from 200 years ago. It also had weird symbols on it, I couldn't quite make out what the symbols were. They kind of looked like elements. " Hey Joey" I ask while still looking at the box. For some reason I felt drawn to it, but maybe it was only because its pretty. "Ya" he answers while still looking at the unopened map in his hands. " Um.. What's that box over there?" I ask, then point to the mystery box "Oh that. Ugh that's where I found the map and key. I don't know how my mom got it, it was just here when I came looking for an old T-shirt that was in one of theses boxes." He tells me before he looks at me. "Oh.. Is there anything still in it?" I ask now wanting to know what's in the box. "Ya actual there is. That why I wanted you to see it. Because it sort of..." He trails then rubs the back of his neck.
" It sort if what Joey?" I ask a little mad that he left my hanging. " Well there's a book that talked about a girl who's eyes Change colors and it say she has to go on a quest to find theses stones. " He says while avoiding my eyes. "What!? Let me read it." I yell before getting up. Walking over to the chest. I open it and pull out the book. Not really caring what else that is in the chest. The book had fancy symbols on it that look just like the top of the chest. Opening It I start reading.....

Long ago in a world of dragons,  witches and knights. There lived a king. He was very greedy and mean.  He, like most people wanted to live forever. So he had his best knights go catch a witch. He had that witch make six stones. 

The first stone was light. It had the power to make light even in the darkest places.

The second stone was wind. It could creat tornados and clouds and of course wind.

The third was water. It could make water out of nothing and it could move water. 

The forth was earth. It could move mountains and make trees and grow plants.

The fifth was fire. It could make fire and make volcanos exploded.

The last stone was darkness. It could drain all the light and even kill.

When all theses stones are put together they make the life stone. It had all the powers of the other stones and it could also raise the dead. It even could grant eternal youth. But before the king could make the life stone. A war Broke out. And the six stones and the key (which when all the stone were touching it would make the light stone) were scattered across the land. When the war ended the king had all the people of his land look for the stones. Now during the war the king had grown older and more wise. So when all the pieces were found he had them given to each of his sons. With the six pieces now in six different kingdoms, the old king could rest in peace knowing that, no other war would break out.

The witch who made the stones was mad that the life stone wasn't created. So she put a spell on each of the stones. So that one day one of her descents. A girl Who had eyes that changed colors would find the stones and being back
What was rightfully hers....

"Wow" was all I could say. " I think that girl is you, grace." Joey whispers.
