Unknown POV

"How dare you disrespect me!" A nobleman screamed at two messengers  as he sat on his thrown glaring down at a sheet of paper in his hand.

"With all due respect sir. We're just messengers. It wasn't use who wrote the letter. Sir." One of the messenger stated to the man on the thrown. Looking up from the letter at the sound of another person voice. The nobleman looked surprised to see that the messenger had no left.

"I know. You may leave." He replied while waving them away with his hand. Once standing they bowed before excited the room.

Once alone the man let out a angry sigh. How dare they expect me to give up my land for that prince Darius. The king must be crazy if he expects me to just give away my hard earned land to some bratty prince. He thought as he clutched the letter in his hand.

The war ended a long time ago and this land is in my family's name. It was given to us by the king who ended the war and now the new king expects me to give it to his son without a second thought! I don't think so. Standing up from his thrown the nobleman stroked down the hall and out the room.

Grace POV

Stepping thought the portal grace and Joey were greeted by a massive valley filled with daffodils and a large river running through the middle of it. In the distance you could see the top of a castle that rose over the tall forest in front of it.

"Wow" was all Joey could say as he took in the view. Nodding her head in agreement Grace glanced behind her to see the portal close trapping them in this magical world.

"So...... What now?" She questions and Joey just shrugs his shoulders not knowing how to answer that question.

'Well first I would find a place to sleep. The duns about to go down' Janues tells Grace causing her took look at the sky. Finding the sun Janues was right because it had already started to set.

"Come on. Let's go find some shelter." Grace says to Joey before pulling him by his hand as she walks forward.

Walking to their right they find a cave in the cliffs and start to set up camp. Gathering fire wood Joey makes a camp fire as Grace lays out the sleeping bags. Once the fire is going they lay down and stare at the cave entrance.

"Hey Joey can I ask you something?" Grace questions while watching the sun set.

Crossing his arms behind his head Joey lays down before replying yes to grace. As grace watches the sun Joey watches her.

"Do you think it was wise coming here." She mumbles before continuing. "You know. To look for the stones even tho we have now clue what to do." Tilting her head at Joey to see if he's listening she blushes when she sees he was already staring at her. Feeling shy she looks away as Joey speaks.

"Honestly..... I'm not sure.... I mean. We could be heading right to our deaths." He says then pauses. Frowning at what he said grace starts twiddling with her hands. As she starts to apologize about dragging him along Joey continues.

"But, on the other hand we could be heading towards the best experience in
our life. Who can truly say they've been to a different world without lying."

"Yeah.... Your right." Grace mumbles while smiling. Laying down she stares at the ceiling as the Suns light fades away on the distance and the only light left is the flames of the camp fire as the outside world is consumed in darkness.

"Good night grace." Joey says. Nodding her head she closes her eyes and starts to fall asleep. Before she does she mumbles good night back before darkness consumes her.

Following suit Joey kisses her forehead before closing his eyes. His last thoughts are of what tomorrow will bring before darkness consumes him too.
