Chapter 3

"What!? No it can't be me." I bewildered while looking at Joey like he was some type of mad man.

"But it says your name." he informs me while pointing to a pome that was at the bottom of the page.

"What? How could I have missed that pome." I question then start read the pome.

"WHAT?! Wait.. What? How is my name in this book?" I ask still a little confused. " We'll duh didn't you read the part about the witch saying, a girl who's eyes Change Colors. That has to be you. Thats why I brought you here. Don't you see?" He questions as I sit there shocked. " Wait. So whatever's on that map will show us where the stone is?" I ask while looking at the book still confused. " Yes and that's why we can't tell anyone. They'll think we've lost our minds. " Joey orders in a serious tone.

I already think I lost my mind, but if Joey says that we need to find the stone then. I guess we're going on a treasure hunt. Ya me. "Ok where do we start." I ask then look up at Joey. " Well first we need to see whats on this map." he says. "We'll duh that would make since. Ok what are you waiting for open it." I say while putting the book back in the chest. " Ok here goes nothing." he says. When the map is opened. I look over his shoulder to see a map that leads to some place underground. " Well that's just great. That place is no where near where we live. How are we going to find it. With out our moms finding out." I ask. Just then Joey starts smiling like an idiot. What he up to now? "I have on idea" he says while standing up and walking down stairs. Staring after him like an idiot. I hear him call me down stairs. Oh grate this is going to be just fine. Knowing Joey he has something that I won't like. Giving up on trying to think of what he could be doing I head down stairs.

"Hey mom. Umm.. Me and Joey are going on a date." I say while looking at the ground. I should have never agreed to this. Now I have to tell my mom were dating. We'll fake dating. But she doesn't need to know that. " What!? You and Joey are boyfriend and girlfriend?" My mom asks. Yes mom were dating so we can go find this crazy light stone that a witch wants and were going underground. " Yes mom we are." is all I can say without making eye contact with my mom. "Oh that great honey. When are you going on the date?" Asked mom while smiling at me. Gosh I hate lying to her. But it's the only way I can go and find the stone. "We'll his mom asked us if we wanted to stay at their vacation home for a week. Just me and Joey." I lie. " Sure you can. Just no funny business. " Mom jokes then hands me a bag for my stuff. "Oh... thanks, mom bye." I say awkwardly while running up the stairs to go call Joey. I pick up my phone and call him. It rings for a little bit then he picks up.

" Hey. My mom said yes. So... What should I bring?" I ask Joey. Walking over to my closet I pull out some hiking clothes and boots.

"Just bring clothes and some water and food and a flash light. Oh and there was a sword in the box with some other survive stuff so I'll bring those and pack you hiking boots and Helmet." He says. Wow. where are we gonna go to the rain forest or something?

"Ok I'll pack those and you'll pick me up in ten minuets. right?" I ask while trying to sip up my backpack.

"Yeah. I'll see you then." Joey say then hangs up.
