Stones of life ( oh hold )

Chapter 4

"Joey when are we going to get there." I complain while looking out the window at the passing city.
"We've been driving for four hours." I whine.

"We only have twenty more miles,till we get to the cave or whatever place the stone is at." Joey say while trying to focuses on the road and not the whining girl beside him.

"Fine but if there's no stone, and this is all some stupid prank, then I blame you ." I say while sitting back into my seat. After a while the city, started to turn in to a couple house, here and there, and then it just went to trees. Looking out at the trees, I started to remember one of my dreams I had as a little kid......

"Mom! Dad! Where are you?" I scream. All around me is darkness and there's no one in site. After a while of yelling for my parents. I start crying....Then shaking....Then I feel nothing. No emotion or feelings. It's just me sitting in the dark.... Then as I'm about to give up hope, a ball of light appears. Getting up I start running, I keep running, but the ball of light keeps getting farther away. After a while of running I get tired and have to stop, and the light disappears. I'm left in the dark again....

" Child of mine what is it that you seek?" A voice say out if nowhere.

"Who are you? Please, can you help me?" I plead to the strange voice.

"I am Janues. I am your guide to help you through tuff times. If you ever need me. I'm always there. All you need to do is look for me and I'll come. Now my child. The ball of light is not ready to come to you, but in time you'll find it, and it'll return you home. Now that I've told you this you should sleep. Goodnight my love." Janues say.

"Wait how will I know where to find you." I ask while trying to find out where she is.

"My love. You'll just know. Now goodnight." Said Janues, and with that I woke up.

"GRACE! Grace can you hear me. I said we have a flat tire." Yelled Joey.

"Oh umm.. Sorry I zoning out. What did you say?" I ask while looking to see where we are. As I look around, trees are everywhere and it looks like were stuck on a hill.

"I said we have a flat tire. We'll have to walk the rest of the way. it's not that far so come on. We'll leave our stuff in the car. I don't think we'll be needing it. Just bring some water and food." He says while getting out if the car.

"What! Walking. Ugh this is going to be horrible." I complain while grabbing the food and water pack. Climbing out of the car. I look at Joey to see which way to go.

"It's only a ten minuet walk. We'll be heading east so it won't be that hot. Anyway your getting a little fat. You need the work out." Joey yeses as he starts to walk in the direction were spost to go. Ddid he just call me fat?

After walking for four minuets we come to a clearing in the woods. "Is this the place?" I ask hoping it is. "No. Come on let's keep moving." He say then starts to walk again.

"Ugh I can't take it anymore. We've been walking for ten minuets. Shouldn't we be there by now?" I ask.

"Hey grace do you see that house up there. Or have I gone crazy?" Joey ask while pointing somewhere. Thinking he's lost it, I look to where he's pointing and see a house sitting on a hill. confused I grab the Map from Joey and look at where the cave should be.

"What!? That makes no since? The house is right where the cave is spost to be." I say confused.

"We'll there's only one way to find out." Joey say while walking up to the house.

"No, Joey! Wait it could be a trap." I yell after Joey but I'm to late. He
already went inside.
