Chapter 10

"Grace it's so good to see you again. I hope Joey is treating you well." Joeys mom Sara, said with smile on face then winking at grace , causing her to blush.

"MOM! Stop, your embarrassing me." Joey whined while glaring at his mom and dragging her out of the room. Ok? Though grace a she sat down on the couch. Ugh nothing ever happens here.

'Grace. Don't look out the window.' Janues said out of nowhere.

'What' grace asked and looked out the window, wondering why she said that.

' I said not to look' Janues yelled at grace. Standing in the backyard was a creature that looked like a werewolf you see in horror movies. Blood was running down it's snout and it had red eyes. Those same eyes looked straight through the window and was starting right a grace, who was now shacking from fear.

'J.Janues w.what is that t.thing?' Grace asked in her mind.

'That grace is a rogue." Janues stated.

'And a rogue is?' Grace asked looking back to the creature who now moved a little closer to the house. How the hell did now one see that thing?

'OH! a rogue is a werewolf who has lost there human side and has gone mad. In Rune where I come from it happens more then you think. Tho I don't know what it's doing here? Werewolves have been extinct from earth for thousans of years ago.... UNLESS?' Janues says then goes quite. While thinking it over.

' unless what? Janues? UNLEES WHAT? That thing could kill someone I need to know what you know." Grace snaps at Janues.

' clam down I was about to tell you. We need to get that rogue out of here grace. If it's here then that means the portal to Rune is here and that means we can find the light stone before anyone else does. Go get Joey and all the stuff in the chest. Bring all of it. We need to get that thing back to rune before the portal closes and were stuck here for another mouth with a angry rogue. Trust me you do not what that to happen.  Now go we don't have much time.' Janues yells at grace.

"Joey!" Grace yells. Oh what am I going to say? Hey Joey, Sara there a rogue in your yard and we need to go the this magical place that a voice in my head told me about. Yeah that's defnetly going to work ( sarcasm included). A couple seconds later Joey and his mom walk into the room.

" yes grace?" Joey asks looking at grace with concern. Ugh lord help me get through this. Glancing over to his mom she lies.

" you know how you said you'd take me anywhere I want to go, for what you did?" She's asks.

" Joey! What did you do to grace?" His mom demands while looking a little ticked off. Looking back and forth between the two. He looked at his mom who was staring right at him still looking ticked off. Then back to grace who was giving him that play-along-I'll-tell-you-later look. Getting what grace was trying to tell him. He looks back to his mom who was waiting for a response.

" umm... I.I accidentally hurt graces..graces foot when I fell on her? Yeah I fell on her..." He said. mentally face palming herself, grace turned to Sara and said

" My foot still hurts a little and he says he'd do anything to make up for it. So I though we could take another week away trip to your guys cabin?" Grace asks looking right at Sara giving her a pleading/hopeful face. After a couple of minutes of silence Sara turned to Joey and started yelling at him about why he was still here and not packing then turns to grace and apologizing to grace about her idiotic son , before leaving the room.

"*sigh* well.... That went well?" Grace said while rubbing her arms nervously. Glancing at Joey he looked at her with a blank expression. Making grace scared about what he had to say.

" Care to tell me why we just lied to my mom like that?" He asked looking back at grace.

" I'll tell you on the way... We have a mission to finish. Now go pack I'll get the stuff." Grace said while pushing Joey to the door before going back to the window. Looking out she see the rogue is still there staring at her.

" well it's now or never." She mumbled to no one.
