Chapter 12.

Something wasn't right.

Heeseung didn't wake her up with his usually (and zesty) smile. He looked anxious.

"What's wrong Hee?" y/n asked concerningly.

Heeseung just nodded "Nothing."

"Come on, you can tell me." said y/n trying to get an answer out of Heeseung. She thought it was too early in the morning to inquire about this matter, but she still decided to.

"Well, earlier this morning, you got a call." Heeseung finally spoke.

"Go on..... "

"So, it was from your manager. He said he got a call from Riki's manager. The famous producer Sim Jake wants to cast you for his new series."

"That's great news! What's with the look though? Aren't you happy? "

"Well, you're the love interest of the main character, and I'm not too keen about that."

"Oh.. Well if you don't like it, then I can reject the script."

"No, I don't want our relationship to get in the way of your career. Plus you'll become a model turned actor. The only problem I have is that the MC is.. Riki." Heeseung said as he finally broke the news.

"How is that a problem though? He's a friend of ours. Shouldn't that be better?"

"Well yes. Err.... Don't mind what I said. I was just blabbering. Get ready for work, I'll head out now." Said Heeseung. He kissed y/n's forehead before leaving the room.

"What about breakfast!" Y/n called after him.

"Ill skip it!" He replied

Heeseung still felt uneasy. He knew that Riki and y/n would never betray him, but a part of him kept putting that thought in his mind, meaning there was still a part of him that thought they could. He despised this feeling, but was able to shake it off for a short period of time.

Y/n did the essentials, and got ready for work. Her manager drove to her house to pick her up so she could be taken to the studio in order to prepare for her dreadful schedule.

"Y/n!!" Sunoo said excitedly as she entered his car.

"Sun-sun!!" Replied y/n. This is how they greeted each other.

"I can't believe you finally got a script!!" He said as he started the engine.

"'You can't believe'? You didn't think I had it in me?" Asked y/n playfully.

"No, I always knew you had it in you! Now, Sunghoon owes me 50,000 won. Today's my luck day!"

"No way you made a bet out of my career."

"..."

"For real?"

"Moving on! You're accepting it right? If you don't, then I'm sorry, but your dense."

"Is that even a question? Of course I am!"

"That's what I thought. I'll give Producer Sim your answer. You'll have the script by this evening."

"Alright! Sound like a plan."

"I think your hubby has already told you about your love interest."

"Hubby? I never thought of it that way." Y/n thought to herself.

"Yeah he has." She finally replied.

"Was he Jealous, angry, worried or anything?"

"Why would he be?"

"You seriously don't know? You'll be kissing another man!" Sunoo exclaimed as he faces her.

"Eyes on the road." Reminded y/n. "But even if I am, he knows its not a genuine kiss."

"Alright. Lemme put it like this, so your decaying brain can understand. Let's switch you and Heeseung's roles. Your the chairwoman and he's the model. He gets casted for a drama, and he's really excited. He finds out he's the love interest of your bestie, Wonyoung. They kiss in the drama, and let me remind you this drama is going to be aired everyday for decades to come. How would you feel watching your man kissing another woman, acknowledging the fact that he's perfectly okay with it, and thinks you're just overreacting?" Sunoo finished.

"Ah, I see what you mean now. But when I told him I could drop the script if he feels uncomfortable with it, he said I shouldn't."

"Of course he did! No man would want to get in the way of the future of the woman they love." Sunoo sighed. "I'm wondering how you even got a boyfriend with that mindset."

Y/n was rethinking what Heeseung had said that morning. She had finally understood why he had that look on his face.

"Guess I'll have to apologize." Y/n concluded

"Do you know what you're apologizing for?" Sunoo asked.

"I'll find out myself." Said y/n as she was getting out of the car for they had reached their destination.

"What does that even mean?" Sunoo asked confused.

"You'll find out when I've apologized."

"Ugh. She's so vague."
