The cool breeze waved across her face while Ashley kept looking at the horizon where the sun was going down with the end of the day. Her white skirt was complementing her looks, her sleek figure was like that of a crystal doll which seems quite breakable even with the slightest of touch. The summer was coming to an end but her eyes were still in the search of something that was missing from her life.
A girl in her twenties came from behind and put her hands on her eyes.
"You're late." Ashley said as she knew that it was her best friend Alena.
"I am sorry but today don't know why there was so much rush in the flower shop. I think many couples are going to propose today even though, it's not valentines day today." Alena said and came to sit beside her on the stairs which was leading down towards the river. The view was serene and many people were now gathering to sit on the stairs as evening began spreading its wings around the sky.
"You are always so skeptical and joyous when it comes to imagining about love." Ashley smiled looking at her friend who giggled as she spoke. Alena was happy go lucky girl with all those qualities that Ashley somehow felt she never had. According to her Alena possessed everything to live a happy life. When something negative comes in her life, she always finds something positive out of it, that's what her nature was. Ashley put her hand around Alena's shoulder and sighed.
"You don't need to sigh baby. Someday, you will also get the love of your life." Alena stated.
