Avery's P.O.V.
"Lets go." Josh said pulling me to his car. Today josh was going to help me "summon my powers."
"Here you might want this." He said handing me a brown box.
"What is it?" I asked taking the box and looking at it.
"It's the key to who you are." He said smiling as we drove away from the house. I stared at the wooden box running my finger across it. With a click, the box revealed a long satin box, a dusty book, and a small envelope with my name in red lettering. Well might as well see what's in the envelope.
Avery,
You're our only hope. You are our light and soon you will fight the darkness. With tricks and lies the darkness will come from inside you. You are to fight you're inner darkness. This darkness will find you're weakest point and mimic it causing you to fall. With this book and you're secret weapon you will over come it and save all of humanity.
-the light.
Well that's weird... Who knew the fate of humanity was in my hands. I looked down at my tiny hands and laughed out loud.
"What?" Josh asked confused.
"I'm suppose to save the world with these puny wittle hands." I laughed shoving my hands in his face. Josh just smiled holding back his laughter.
I quickly returned my attention to the box in front of me. Picking up the red box I opened it. Inside was a necklace. It wasn't no ordinary necklace, I was drawn to it. On a long golden chain was a large white stone with gold wrapped around it. Without hesitating I put it on.
The next thing I grabbed was the book. Flipping it open the pages were filled with pictures and directions.
"We are here." Josh said as we pulled up to a White House. The house set on sand and behind it lay the blue ocean.
"It's beautiful." I said getting out and walking up to the house. Josh grabbed my hand and lead me inside.
"Go change we need to summon you're powers." Josh said walking out the back door.
I went into the nearest bathroom and put on my white bikini. Over it I threw on a neon orange off the shoulder shirt and went out the door. Josh stood at the waters edge. I watched him as his dark messy hair stood up. I noticed he was wearing just swimming shorts. My eyes roamed his muscular back and large biceps. He's no longer the little boy I loved. He's now the man I love. My feet dragged me to him.
"Stand in the water." Josh said putting me in front of him. He wrapped his large arms around me as the water crashed against my warm skin.
"Concentrate on you're surroundings. Imagine yourself walking on the water." He said.
I closed my eyes and the image of te beach flooded my mind. There stood Josh and I. His arms around me, the water running against our skin, the sun low in the sky. I imagined him and I floating to the top of the water. We both stood on top of the water and began walking.
"Open you're eyes." Josh whispered. I opened my eyes to see him and I standing on top of the water. We began walking.
"I did it josh!" I smiled turning around to face him.
I looked into his eyes and pressed my lips to his. Within second josh and I fell into the cold water. We both began laughing. Josh picked me up and took my under the water with him. He kissed my lips and pulled us both up for a breath. Right then and there I knew in my heart this was just the beginning.
