Lilith's heels echoed through the vast hall as she ran, following the voices of her father and his visitor. It had been years since he came to Notheros and the last raven she received detailed something about the young wolf being murdered. Her short dark hair bounced as she moved, like black waves in a storm. Her eyes peered around the corner observing her father bow and leave the room. A moment passed before she reached the guest room, nervously knocking on the door.
"Enter," a soft voice came through the door a whisper. Lilith grabbed the door handle in one hand, while the other held onto a large crumpled piece of parchment. She entered the room quickly closing the door behind her, then she turned back to face a man sitting at the oak desk with a quill in hand.
The man smiled softly, "Princess, so good to see you again. You've grown." His eyes shifted to the paper in her hand, the word murdered popping out, "I see you have received my raven."
Lilith sniffled, her watery eyes brimming with tears, "Did he die too?"
Setting the quill down, the man shook his head, "No, my dear. Robb Stark died along with his wife, mother, and his army." It was strange to Lilith; these people she'd heard of since she was very young dying. The fantasy novel being told to her suddenly became fact and their lives becoming so easy to destroy.
She nodded slowly, "Mother is ill.. I worry she may not make it." Her small hand wiped the falling tears from her eyes. The man stood, moving towards her he offered a gentle hug. His warmth was comforting and his presence was always like a soft summer rain.
"You're still protecting us, right?" She said against the fabric of his robe.
The man chuckled, "Of course, my dear. I always do what's best for the realm. I will make sure you and your family are safe." He pulled away from her and reached for a small rolled scroll on the table.
"For you, some updates on Jon Snow," he handed the parchment to the teen girl who held it close to her.
"When will you return?" She inquired, itching to read the scroll in her grasp.
"Not for awhile, but I will always send you and your father ravens," the man sighed gazing out the window towards the mountains to the north.
"Stay safe out there. Return soon, Varys."

Lilith felt her worst dreams become reality just from the look on Jon's face. Her fingers curled against the fabric on her pants, gripping the cloth tightly. Tears fell softly awaiting Jon's answer.
He placed a hand on her shoulder, "He tried telling the world about me... Daenerys burned him alive." Lilith finally let out a cry, her voice trembling. She brought a hand to cover her mouth and leaned against Jon's torso. Snow wrapped his arms around her even with his mind in protest. She cried against him, struggling to take in a breath.
"He was so good.." was all she could say. Even though it had been years since she'd heard from Varys, she always wanted to believe deep down that he was alive.

I hope this letter finds you, little bird. The mother of dragons may not be the queen I thought she'd be and I have recently discovered a secret. Jon Snow is not Ned Stark's bastard, but the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen. His name is Aegon Targaryen and he is the rightful heir to the iron throne. I have sent this same message to your father for I fear if Daenerys takes the throne, she will soon discover Notheros and you all will be in great danger.
Varys. The parchment lay between Lilith's fingers for what seemed like centuries. Her heart had pumped so fast she was feeling ill; the realization consuming her that Varys may never come back again, that her life could end at any moment, and that Jon Snow could be dead. A few tears soaked into the letter leaving small stains as well as running the ink. Soon the letter may not be legible. King Ignis opened the doors to her room, now involving himself in her current state of mind.
"How long have you been receiving ravens from Varys?" He questioned her, slamming the doors so no one else could hear.
"Does that matter?" Lilith's voice was shaky, filled with fear and sorrow.
Ares knelt down in front of her, "It matters because now you have become involved in my crimes." Lilith just shrugged and the king continued, "Why Lilith?"
"It sounds bizarre, and maybe I'm completely insane, but I had to know what was happening," she struggled to speak her truth.
Ares placed a large hand on his daughter's shoulder, "Why did you need to know? Why did you need to risk your safety, go against the council? Go against your own father?"
Her grey eyes, cloudy and puffy, lifted to gaze upon him, "Because, I love him."
