Chapter 10

It was late at night a little after jere took me home. I couldn't sleep and I heard a ding from my phone and turned it on to see a text from conrad.

'U up?'

I am so done with this boy. I sighed and looked out the window to see him sitting at the dock staring at his phone so I quietly left out the back door and walked down.

"Hey" he standing up.

"Stop texting me. It's triggering. Bad things happen when you text me." I said to him.

"I know. I know. I'm sorry. I feel like I keep doing the wring thing when it comes to you."

"And and the wrong thing was texting me conrad."

"I'm sorry. I just don't want to lose you." He said moving closer and grabbing my hand.

"It's too late. And I'm not doing this to my sister. She likes you." I said walking away.

"But what do you want? I don't care what she wants, I want you." He said grabbing my arm.

"And I want jere. And I already have that. " I said leaving conrad at the dock. I could heat him sigh as I was walking away and I finally went upstairs back into my room.

I woke up the next morning to Susannah coming into my room.

"Oh my God am I late?" I asked referring to the deb ball today.

"No no your not" she said sitting on my bed.

"What if I trip?" I asked rubbing my eyes.

"Hold on to Jeremiah. He won't let you fall" She said.

"Your right"

"I still can't believe you got him to go with you. He swore up and down he wouldn't go to one of these"

"He said he didn't mind"

"Yeah well he'd do anything for you. They both would" She said with a wink as she walked out my room.

I headed downstairs with my dress in my hands after I changed and got ready.

"Honey jere will you put this is laurels car?" Susannah asked taking the dress from my hands.

"I'm on it" he said taking the dress to the car.

"Are you ready?" My mom asked me and belly.

"Arnt you driving us?" I asked.

"I thought belly could drive. Don't crash." My mom said to her and she smiled and grabbed the keys.

We ran outside and belly got in and started the car while Jeremiah just closed the truck from putting my dress in.

I walked over to him and leaned against the car truck. "Don't be nervous were gonna be the best waltzers out there" he said to me.

"No its not that" I said.

"What is it ellie?" He asked. I loved hearing him say my name.

"All the girls probably know what happened by now with the whole conrad text they all probably hate me now." I said with a sigh.

"Listen you've got this. Your gonna be okay" he putting his arms right above my elbows.

"And if anyone gives you shit, I'll be like 'yo that's my girl cool it or your gonna get it'" he said twirling me around by the hand.

My girl. I'm Jeremiah fishers girl.

He leaned down and gave me a kiss and I smiled at him. "I'll see you at the club. Drive safe" he said walking back into the house.

"What the fuck. Are you kidding me? You and Jeremiah?" Steven said getting out of jeres car. Great he saw me and jere kiss which only really belly knew about right now.

"It's just happened Steven calm down." I said to him as he walked over.

"What just now?" He asked.

"Like a few days ago?" I said.

"Thats disgusting. So what you guys have been sneaking around having sex and shit is what? Keeping it from everyone?" He asked.

"I knew!" Belly yelled out from the car.

"We haven't had sex. We just kiss alot." I said saying alot quietly.

"So what are yall a couple now?" He asked.

"No? No I don't know" I said

"Seriously? What is wrong with you? He's like my best friend!" He yelled out.

"And Taylor is bellys best friend! That didn't stop you did it? You little hypocrite asshole-" I yelled at him.

"Okay okay I get it. I just don't want anything getting screwed up. It affects more than just you ellie."

"I know Steven. Your just gonna have to trust me." I said as I got into the passenger side of out moms car and belly drove off.
