Eddie's POV

Why does this motherfucker keep saying that word?" I hiss as I step out of the Hendersons' house onto the steps.

In total honesty, I am so confused right now.

Not by this fucking asshole, Billy Hargrove although he is a big part of it, but emotionally as well.

Everything is happening all at once.

One minute I thought my girlfriend is leaving for college hours away, which I was upset about but I knew it was for the best. After what happened this year, Stevie needed to get out of Hawkins. Then, it turns out she wasn't leaving, which I was relieved although I was a little hurt that she lied to me for months about it and I helped pack for nothing, but  I don't think I could have survived having her hours away.

Now this prick shows up to the house, everyone is freaking out, Stevie looks like she saw a ghost, and on top of it all this dick keeps calling her his girlfriend.

"Munson, back inside." Steve shoves his hand into my chest pushing me back inside and pulls the door shut. Once I regain my footing, I reach for the door handle, ready to rip the door open and tear Billy apart and maybe Steve too because that shove kind of hurt. As I try to open the door though, It won't open and I realize that Steve is holding it shut.

"Fucking Harrington!" I kick the door and look around the room. The younger kids and Mrs. Henderson are gathered around Dustin on the couch. He is just staring off into space and everyone is telling him everything will be okay.

What the fuck is going on?!?

I look around the room and realize that Stevie is gone. What the fuck?!

"Where's Stevie?" I ask. Panic set into my stomach.

"She went upstairs. Robin is with her" Max points toward the stairs and I take off up the stairs I see Robin standing outside Stevie's room.

"Stevie, please open the door! I just wanna make sure you are okay!" Robin says knocking on the door and jiggling the handle.

"What is happening?" I ask once I reach the top of the stairs.

"I don't know! When you went outside, She said she was fine but then she ran up the stairs and locked herself inside of her room." Robin explains, panic laced in her voice, "Stevie please!"

"I'll see if she'll open the door for me you may want to go check on Dustin."

"Is that prick gone?" Robin questions as she squeezes past me in the hallway.

"I have no idea! Fucking Harrington shoved me back inside, so you might wanna check on him too." She nods in response and sighs before she walks downstairs. I turn my attention back to the door.

"Stevie, baby It's me." I knock lightly on the door, "Please, open the door." I put my ear to the door and listen for her. When I don't hear anything I knock again, "Honey please, I need to know you are okay." Still no reply, "Stevie. Please open this door, I'm not afraid to break it down. I know a guy who will fix it, so I have no problem bre-" I stop when I hear the click of the lock. I slowly turn the handle and push the door.

I walk into the room and see Stevie sitting down on the other side of her bed on the floor. I walk over and sit next to her. She is doing the same thing as Dustin, just staring off into space. Must be a Henderson thing.

"Stevie?" I coo, trying to break her stare, "Baby talk to me, Are you okay?" She turns her head to look at me. Her eyes look like they lost color, "Are you okay?"

"I don't know," She says quietly and shakes her head, "It's just like him to show up when everything is fine. Messing everything up when I am finally okay again." She doesn't sound angry or upset or anything really. Her voice sounds empty.
