40/ the end

"Eomma me and Jungkook are going out for something important. Could you see that the kids don't go outside?" You asked your mother sitting beside her bed where she rested most part of her days now. Her end was near now any day her heart would stop beating but you wanted that to be delayed as much as possible.

She nodded blinking her eyes to assure you. You stroked her forehead with your finger before going out.

"You ready?" Jungkook asked you when you both held hands.

"Whatever it is.. we're in it together. Okay? We've been through so much what is one more thing for us." He said looking at you.

"Ria... Yejun don't fight or trouble each other. We're going to the hospital. I'm not feeling well. We'll be back in a few hours. There's money on the tv cabinet. Order food if we get late or cook something." You told them as they came out of their rooms for a study break. Ria was in middle school now while Yejun was in second grade. It was bittersweet watching them grow up so soon as you never really saw them very little hence you wanted them to stay little as long as possible.

Jungkook drove you to the hospital trying to lighten your mood as you were stressed out about what was probably wrong with you. You both waited in the lobby until your name was called out to come inside the doctor's cabin.

The doctor greeted you both and asked you to sit down.

"What brings you here today?"

"I have been bleeding for nine days now. At first I thought it was my period but now it seems different. Its not as heavy too. I don't know what it is..." You told her your heart growing restless.

"When was your last period?" She asked.

"A month ago" you answered.

"Do you use birth control?"

"I'm infertile, I've received a lot of treatment before to help me conceive but nothing worked so no we don't use it."

"How active is your sex life?"

"Well we're quite active. Three or four times a week mostly." You told her to which she raised her eyebrow.

"Okay. So you said this bleeding seems different. What does it look like? And how heavy is it exactly? Is it soaking a pad easily?" She asked you more questions to better assess your condition.

"Brownish... like I said its not heavy." You shook your head answering her.

"Let's see..." She said standing up and getting a thermometer to check your temperature. She checked your pulse near your neck.

"Let's do a pelvic exam. The symptoms you're showing it can be a few things. Also I'll need a urine and blood sample." Jungkook gave a pat on your shoulder, caressing your back as you went outside to the restroom with the cup she gave you.

As soon as you came out he gave you a hug, you pulled yourself apart after a few seconds to get changed.

He stood by your side as the doctor checked you for any possible infections or fibroids. It was uncomfortable but you endured it.

"Is anything wrong?" You asked the doctor after a couple of minutes.

"Wait here.. I'll be back" She said and went out of the room. You looked at Jungkook nervously.

"A call from home. I'll go attend it." You asked him to go outside to talk.

"Oh god... Yejun just give Ria the damn eggs. She'll peel them for you. Ria let him peel one. Now don't call me about such silly things. I'm busy." You could hear Jungkook trying his best to keep his volume down. Ria had been having pre teen tantrums frequently and Yejun and her got into fights over all sorts of things.
