A week later, school was back in session. The bells ringing, lockers slamming, couple fighting, and teachers giving out unnecessary amount of homework.

Earlier that morning you had gave Rue your class schedule and told her to text you whenever she needed a break from everything. Truthfully, you didn't see why they would allow her to come back to school immediately after getting out of rehab. She needed some time off to fully heal.

You sighed for the millionth time in class and glanced at the clock. It was only fourth period.. three more to go. It felt like eternity before you could be back at home.

Shifting your gaze from the clock you leaned your head on your palm and looked outside the window you sat next to. The only thing in your mind was Maddy. You wondered what she was doing and what she was thinking. You sincerely hoped she wasn't dealing with Nate right now.

After what felt like forever the bell finally rang for school to end. You were literally giddy as it meant you could go see Maddy. You slugged your black bag over your shoulder and made your way down the hall.

Looking over the sea of heads you could spot Maddy and Cassie, you and Maddy's other best friend. Their black and blonde hairs clashing with one another due to the hue differences.

"Hi girls." You slid your way in between them and leaned on Maddy's locker. "What did I miss?"

As soon as you asked the question you began to regret it.

Maddy inhaled a big breath of air and clicked her nails together.

"What did Nate do?" You whispered to Cassie.

"A lot." She whispered back.

"He's pressing me over Tyler!" She damn near growled as she formed claws with her hands in the air. Her beautiful black eyebrows furrowed close together as she expressed her anger.

It took you a minute to process what she was saying as you were gazing at her cute little pout on her face. "Tyler-"

"The boy I fucked in the pool." She informed you.

You nodded your head began to fully relax on Maddy's locker. You knew you were going to be here for quite a while.

"He keeps asking me was Tyler a good fuck! Kept asking me how it'd feel. Asked me was it good enough to leave him over." Maddy pressed three of her fingers over her forehead as she talked, trying to calm herself down. "Like, why is he so obsessed?"

"He sounds insecure.." Cassie meekly spoke to herself, but it was heard by you.

You clapped your hands together and pointed at the blonde. "Yes! That is exactly what it is. Nate is insecure Maddy." You stood up
from the locker and turned to face Maddy. You grabbed the girl by her shoulders and turned her to face you. "You're a bad bitch, literally. Leave him!"

Maddy looked you in the eyes, contemplating on her answer to your words. You could see it. Her eyes burned with many words that wished to escape those kissable lips of hers. Sadly, none of those words fell from her parted lips.

She pushed you off and fixed her bag on her shoulder. "He even walked up to Tyler after the party to argue! How fucking stupid."

You sighed. You don't know why you expected her to agree with you and leave him. Every time you say that she pushes your words to the side and still goes back to him. Every. Single. Time.

And every single time it broke your heart whenever she did so. You just wished the best for her. You want her to find love, and you'd be happy with whoever she ends up with. Even if that person was not you. At this point, literally any person could be better than Nate. Truthfully, you hoped that person would be you.

After a while of talking you heard your phone vibrate, you slid your hand into your pocket and skillfully pulled out your phone while still listening to Maddy. It was a text from Kat. She was asking you to check on Rue due her running out of class.

You cursed to yourself before putting your phone down to your side. "Maddy, Cassie, I have to go."

They both stopped their conversation and looked at you. You brushed your hair back and sighed.

"You look like a ghost, fuck is wrong with you?" Maddy questioned. Despite her harsh words, you knew she only cared about your well being.

"Rue disappeared, I gotta go make sure she's okay. I'll text you guys when she's home safely!"

You hugged the two girls, making sure to hug Maddy tighter. It was a slight reassurance hug. You wanted to let her know you were there for her. She hugged back tighter, with a gentle pat on your back.

A smile graced your features before you turned around and began to make your way down the hall and out the door to the right.

As you walked down the hall, you got another text from Kat. It was asking about that video.

You knew what she was talking about, that video of her and Wes having sex at Mckay's party. Someone somehow got the video and leaked it to everyone at school. You were the first to notify Kat of what was circulating around. As soon as you were sent the video you sent it to Kat.

She had wanted to know if you had any idea of who got the video. You did ask around, and it led her to a boy named Troy. You told her you'd give her backup if push had come to shove, but right now you had to find your cousin.

You jogged to your car and immediately started it. You already had a clue of where to go. When she first overdosed and was taken to rehab your mom made you go clean up Rue's room for her. As you cleaned you found her unlocked phone, she was conversing with someone named "Fez".

Worried about your cousin, you did ask around for who this Fez person was. Luckily, one of Mckay's druggie friends gave you an address.

As you drove through the streets you spotted a familiar blonde female and your cousin.

You stopped the car right by them and rolled down the window. "Rue, and weird blonde. Hi."
