You literally cried as every single member of the jury found Nate guilty.  Every single one of them shook their heads in agreement as they stated that Nate was a manipulative individual with absolutely no remorse for his crimes. They said they almost came to a split decision with a few members due to him claiming he has daddy issues that caused mental problems, but finding out that Nate was actively communicating with a trans woman and acting on queer feelings they believed him to be a liar. He had no remorse, they kept repeating. They had said he only acted in such a way because he could not believe his actions had consequences. He could not believe that he was losing, that he was actually going to go to prison.

After the judge listened to what the jury had to say, she turned to Nate. 

You could see Nate's world shattering as he stared blankly at the judge as he realized he would now be serving ten years in prison. Ten years. He slammed his closed fists on the table and began to rapidly bounce his leg. Seeing the boy in such a state made you laugh, he was finally paying for his consequences. 

Hearing your laugh from across the room Nate whipped his head around to face you. The two of you made direct eye contact. You cocked your head to the side and raise an eyebrow, curious as to why he was giving you such a look.

Both of his eyebrows were furrowed together as he mustered up the most dangerous look he could give you. He lips were in a straight line and his nose was scrunched up and you swore his face was turning red. 

You leaned back in your seat, about to tap Maddy to question her about the look on Nate's face. Before you could even do so Nate practically lunged out of his seat. 

Time seemed to move in slow motion as Nate pushed two of the officers and reached for you. He jumped over a seat and shoved Cassie as he stretched his arms out towards you. You barely had time to react when he grabbed you by your suit and pulled his fist back. You let out a gasp when you realized he was going to punch you, but before he could do anything he was tackled by an officer.

Time went back to normal as you jumped up from your seat and moved away from the officer who was pinning Nate to the floor and putting handcuffs on him. You stumbled over your feet as you gazed at the two of them moving wildly on the floor. You were in shock, you could not fathom the fact this idiot would actually try to do that. But honestly, you were not that surprised. It seemed he realized he had nothing left to lose now.

His mom and dad were getting a divorce and his dad was moving across the state to live with a trans woman he had met on a dating app. His mom had already said after the trial, even if he was found innocent she was going to not support any of his endeavors. She was planning on leaving the country for a while to collect herself. Not only that, his older brother now had a reason to look down on him. He was never in the picture, but now he was considering he was now the better brother.

Both of the two girls who he had "loved" no longer liked him, hell, they absolutely loathed him. And who knows about that trans woman, she probably left him too. All his friends most definitely stopped associating with him as well. Then, the college he was offered a full ride for football was most definitely going to reject him now. Who wants an athlete who is an abuser and has actively tried to kill people? Not them.

He literally had nothing left to lose. No one wants him nor likes him, he had dug his own grave. And now, by attacking you, he had dug his grave even deeper.

That was probably another year or two, maybe even three considering he's resiting arrest.

You laughed again as Maddy and Cassie came up to you to check and see if you were okay. "I'm cool, just shocked me that's all." The two pulled you away even further from the scene unfolding on the floor. All three of you judged the hell out of Nate as he screamed while being detained. 

The officers finally managed to get him calm, both his feet and wrists in handcuffs as they forced him to stand. They quickly picked him up and began to drag him out of the court room and to who knows where. 

"Fuck you!" You stared at the boy with a smile as he spewed more curses as he was pulled out of the room. 

"I hope you catch HIV! All three of you sluts!"

That was the last thing you ever heard out of Nate's mouth before he was finally dragged out of the court room. Everything in the room went quiet before the judge dismissed everyone. You picked up your things that fell from the floor and looked at the two girls next to you. 

The three of you smiled before laughing.

All of you walked out of the court house all smiles and giggles. Happy that everything had turned out the way it had. Truthfully, despite how much confidence you had that Nate was going to pay for his actions you thought there was going to be a couple of people on the jury who thought he was innocent. It's rare that a woman wins against a man, specifically a minority woman vs a white man.

You shook your head and pushed that thought out of your mind, trying to keep your happiness as the strongest emotion in your body.

The three of you stopped at your car and smiled at each other. 

Before anyone could say anything you spoke your mind first, "I need a drink."

Cassie's mom walked up to you, nodding her head as she placed a hand on your shoulder. "I agree, I completely agree with you (Name). Let's get some drinks on me!"

Cassie and Lexi rolled their eyes and followed their excited mom as she ran as fast as she could to her car in her heels. Maddy looked back at her mom, waiting for her answer. Mrs Perez stood there with a smile on her face as she watched the two of, pure passion was in her eyes. 

"Mom?" Maddy questioned.

"Go ahead," She pulled her car keys out of her purse and began to walk to her car that was parked next to yours. "(Name), protect my daughter." And with that Mrs Perez got into the driver's seat. She rolled down the window as she backed out, waving before pulling out the park and leaving.

You and Maddy stood there for a second before Maddy turned around to face you. She was crying, tears staining a bit of her mascara. You cocked your head to the side, confused as to why she was crying.

She reached over to you, grabbing both of your hands and placing them in hers. Maddy looked up at you with a smile, her eyes practically twinkling in the sunlight. She looked absolutely ethereal. Like a goddess.

"(Name), I fucking love you."

You chuckled hearing her words. "Was that you asking me to be your girlfriend?" You leaned down and whispered in her ear, "If so, then of course Maddy."

Maddy let go of your hands and pushed you away from her with a hearty laugh. "Of course it was you fucking cunt." She crossed her arms and rolled her eyes as she looked at you. Her fake attitude only lasted for a second when you two began to laugh at each other.

Without saying a word you two both got into your car, closed the doors, and buckled yourselves in your seats. Before you pulled out of the park you looked at Maddy for a couple seconds, smiling and wondering to yourself how the hell you manage to bag the prettiest girl in the entire world.

Before Maddy could question you as to why you were staring at her you grabbed her by her chin and pulled her in for a passionate kiss. After what seemed like two minutes you finally pulled away before pulling out of the park.

"I love you too Maddy." You spoke as you drove after Mrs Howard's car.

Maddy looked at you with a smirk, "Oh, we are so fucking tonight."

You let out a large laugh at her comment as you two drove down the street, absolutely happy at the turn of events.
