You woke up that afternoon from your nap with that feeling again. You felt like something bad was going to happen. You patted Maddy's back, gently waking her up as she was laying on top of you. She slowly sat up groaning as she leaned over your body. You sat up and kissed her cheek as you rolled up out of your bed.
"Sleeping beauty, come on." You stood in place and stretched your arms above your head and groaned as you felt your bones pop. You moved your arms down and stretched them in front of you. "We gotta get ready for Lexi's play."
You could hear Maddy stretching behind you as you grabbed your phone and staggered towards the bathroom. Once inside you closed the door and began to get your items to brush your teeth. As you placed the toothpaste on your brush the only thing you could think of was you feeling that something bad was going to happen today.
Not only did you feel something bad was going to happen, you felt as if that bad thing involved Maddy and Cassie again. It has been too quiet since Cassie stopped calling and approaching you in the hallway. Both her and Nate disappeared from your line of sight. You were very happy they were gone, but you could not lie. You did miss Cassie. But you knew if she came back there was going to be drama. Lots of drama.
It hurts realizing you got rid of a friend you have known for so long, especially in a way such as this. But she did bring this upon herself.
You spit into the sink and took a rag to wipe your face. After finishing you cut the faucet back on, running some cold water and dampening your face. You opened the bathroom door and walked out, heading back into your room.
Maddy was already on your bed slipping on her heels as she lazily gazed at you. You could tell she was still tired. "We're still picking up Kat, right?"
"Of course."
You grabbed a pair of rip jeans, an old pair of shoes, and a cropped top and slipped it all on. You thought since this was a big play for Lexi you could try to dress somewhat "girly". You walked over to your dresser and grabbed a necklace Gia had given you last year for christmas and put it on.
As you gazed into the mirror across your room you noticed how much of a mess your hair looked. You sighed, grabbing one of Maddy's hair ties and moved your (color) hair back out of your face. You looked at yourself in the mirror again. You looked decent enough.
You grabbed your car keys and turned around to look at Maddy who was using a small mirror to put on some makeup. You couldn't help but smile at her beauty. She was absolutely ethereal in your eyes, and the fact that she was practically almost yours made you grin. Your grin could compare to the Chesire Cat with how wide it was.
Sensing your gaze she snapped the mirror shut with a small smirk. She stood up and seductively walked over to you, wrapping her hands around your waist as she gazed up at you. "Do we have to go, we could just stay here and have fun."
You smirked, knowing exactly what she was talking about. But you knew how much this play meant to Lexi, "Lexi really wants us there Maddy."
Maddy let go of you and sighed, "I know. I hope the play isn't fucking boring."
You laughed, "It probably is going to be very entertaining."
Maddy sighed again, but this time, the sigh was off. Something sounded off with her sigh as she turned around to grab her phone. Her shoulders dropped before tensing back up as she picked up the phone and turned to face you.
You tilted your head to the side and gazed at her. Her eyes were cast downwards as she kicked one of your shoes out of her way before looking back at you. She sighed again, this one coming out more like a huff of irritation. She shifted her weight on her left side and frowned, "I feel like some fucked up shit is oging to happen."
