"You're back early," Mina lay on the couch. Sort of... her upper body was on the floor, one leg on the sofa and the other in the air for some odd reason. Even she slept it looked like she had been in a car accident.
"Yeah I know," your shoulders sagged. "I don't know what I was thinking it was all just stupid." You were still sweaty and it hadn't occurred to you till now that you had tucked to that man like this. Gross and sticky yet he still gave you a business card, that's a confidence boost in a way. You dragged your feet to your room where you put back the brass knuckles. You had a specific case for them and further more a specific box that you put that case in. You're hiding space on the other hand was level one; you just slid it under your wardrobe.
"You're romeo didn't take you?" Romeo that was new, it seemed like she had a different name for him every time.
"Got into an argument," your shirt peeled off in such a gross way. You really needed a car.
"Why?" She was at your doorway now, back facing towards you to give some sort of privacy. Her toe nails sparkled with a fresh coat of polish.
"He thought it was a bad idea," you sighed. "And he was right but by then I'd already said something stupid."
"So you're gonna apologize to him?"
You tossed your shirt somewhere, moving your hands to the bow you had tied at your hips not that long ago.
"Right?" She was looking at you now, rollers in her hair and her face all scrunched up like a mother's.
"Spa day?" You tossed the belt onto your bed.
"Don't ignore me."
"I feel sorry," you flashed her those puppy eyes. Unfortunately for you she wasn't Bakugo so your look had no effect. Damn. "I get that I could've been more understanding but he could've been more patient. He thought I was embarrassed of him." Your pants fell to your shoes which you had completely forgotten to take off at the door.
"Could you blame him, you kicked the poor guy out as soon as I arrived."
"Because I didn't want you prying me, you ask a lot of lewd shit I didn't want him to hear it."
"Communicate that with him."
"Oh but you can play around with his roommate."
"Don't start that shit with me, blind rage doesn't mean you get to forget who I am." She took a breath, "I didn't know Kirishima believed in that stuff and I'm willing to wait."
"Are you?" That didn't sound like her, sure she was a romantic but she was damn near a sex addict as well.
"I called Camie."
"I don't care anymore, I don't wanna know." You dragged your feet over to the bathroom, you really needed to take a piss. You shut the door behind you and instead of simply leaving Mina went and sat on the other side. You sighed, "we were supposed to go on a date Friday."
"Say sorry to him then."
"Can't. We're not doing the date."
"Why not?"
"Because him and I won't do it."
"I think you're making assumptions," she heard the toilet flush on the other side. Even your damn toilet paper was pink, you wiped your ass with pink paper this was ridiculous. "What are you laughing about?" Mina called from the other side of the door.
"Nothing," you turned on the faucet.
"Camie used to date him."
"That's nice," you didn't care, nope not at all. Sure she was smoking hot but what's any of that matter to you.
You had dried your hands but was to afraid to open the door. She said your name softly, "they broke up just a few days ago. Left her for you."
Shit, you really fucked up didn't you? You opened the door, "it's ok. Sometimes people argue, it'll fix itself."
"Is that what your mommy and daddy told you?" She batted her eye lashes at you, her way of calling bullshit.
"I-"
"Yeah I know, sorry." She mumbled, her hand had found yours pulling you down onto the couch. "Can I paint your nails," she had started massaging your hand.
"Mina I don't even have clothes on."
She waved you off, "just put a robe on."
"That's still nudity."
"No one cares."
"I do."
"What color do you want?" She clearly didn't care for your protest, instead her attention was fixated on all the colors she owned.
It was the first thing that popped into your head, "orange."
"Eh," her eyes had bugged out. "Orange?"
"Yeah just something not to halloweeny I guess," you shrugged.
She nodded, the pads of her fingers skimming over the tops of the bottles. "So the thing with Kirishima... he really is a nice guy. You were right, it was just supposed to be a hookup at first and then this master plan to give me his virginity without the ring. But after I talked to you on the phone he had offered to drive me here and all I could think about was this man saved my life and was now taking me home. It was so sweet, innocent and just pure. I couldn't do it to him. I think I'm gonna try this whole chasity thing."
"He's a cop."
"Yeah I know," she gently slid her hand under yours. A roller bounced around in her hair as she brought your conjoined hands up to her face. "That's the other thing I don't think I wanna work at the club anymore."
"What are you gonna do?" The shade of orange she had choose was really nice.
"I think I might work for him," her words were so fragile.
"So you're gonna date your boss?"
"Didn't think of it that way," she pressed her lips into a thin line. "You cool now?"
"Thinking more than anything. I still want to tear everything up, but I think I've done enough of that."
"You should write him a love letter."
"I'll pass on that." She moved onto your other hand, first coat done. "Did he really leave her for me?"
"I guess so," next finger.
"I feel like shit now."
"I think you should talk to him about it."
"Next time," you sighed closing your eyes. Mina smiled, next time was good, next time meant things were sure to be fixed.
