WHEN I GOT to the radio station just a week after the activities fair, there was another girl walking in at the same time as me.
"Hey, I'm Beca." She introduced herself to the man at the desk and he pointed her to a door.
He looked to me.
"I'm Y/N."
He nodded. "You can follow her."
I walked into the studio with Beca and started looking around.
There were many different shelves with CDs and vinyls lining them.
I got distracted by looking at a few albums until I heard a voice.
"Hey." It was a man's voice. I quickly hurried over to where Beca was standing.
"Hi."
"Have you two been standing there long?" The guy asked, looking between Beca and I.
"No. No, we just got here," Beca shook her head, glancing at me for a split second. "We weren't just standing here."
The guy walked back into the booth and Beca went to follow. I watched through the window as he picked up a small crate.
"Freshmen aren't allowed in the booth." He told Beca and she walked back.
"Sorry."
"I'm Luke. Station manager." He introduced. "You two must be Y/N and Becky the interns?"
He pointed at Beca when he said my name, and at me when he said Becky.
"Um, it's uh—" Beca went to correct him when another voice spoke over her.
"Hey, man, what's up? I'm Jesse." The guy introduced himself to Luke and stopped beside me.
"I'm Luke. You're late." Luke spoke and I turned my head to see none other than the cute guy who sang to me in his car.
As Luke walked and Beca followed, Jesse looked at me.
"Hey. I know you." He stated, pointing at me.
"Do you?"
"I totally know you."
I smiled, but didn't want to make it obvious that I did know him or that I had thought he was cute. "Are you sure?"
"Definitely know her." Jesse pointed to me and spoke to Luke.
"Okay, cool. Well, you guys can figure it out while you're stacking CDs. When you're done, there's more." Luke explained. "Now you guys will be spending a lot of down time together, so please, just no sex on the desk. Any of you. I've been burned before."
