Amity has a meltdown after a beach trip. Camila comes to her rescue and helps her regress.

Sort of based off the issues I had summer camp but it was also requested by my favorite requester, SapphireDraken173

During everyone's stay in the human realm, Camila decided to take everyone to the beach on a pretty hot day. Luckily, they all had bathing suits so they were good in that department.

Amity was a bit nervous since she had a slight history with sand. She sometimes had sensory issues with sand when she used to take swimming lessons at Lake lacuna. However, she was always gaslit and invalidated by her mother so she doesn't remember much. But she decided she would try it out. After all, this was human sand, perhaps it was different from the boiling isles.

It was barely any different. When they got there, the sand immediately got all over her feet and she started to slowly panic. It didn't feel good at all. It's coarse, rough, and irritating, and it gets everywhere.

As they were trying to find the perfect spot, Hunter noticed Amity's discomfort.

"Oi, Blight, you ok? You seem… uncomfortable,"

"Hm? Uh yeah, yeah, I'm fine, I'm great even! I'm just excited to go swimming!" She laughed nervously. She didn't fully lie. She was yearning to get rid of the rough grains.

Soon, after everything was set up, Amity quickly made her way to the water. Luckily, the pain was over for a bit as she floated around in the salty liquid. She even participated in some of the squad's games and forgot all about the sensories.

However, when Camila called everyone back to shore for lunch, Amity realized that she now had sand all over her body. Even in her swimsuit! She couldn't feel it in the water but she could now. Honestly, she really wanted to go back to the house. A whimper accidentally escaped as she was sitting on the sandy picnic blanket. The group noticed and turned their heads towards her.

"Are you alright, Batata?" Luz asked, putting her pb&j on a sandwich baggy.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine," she forced herself to say. Even though she felt like the world was ending, she wasn't going to ruin this beach trip for her friends.

Luz knew she was lying. She noticed how Amity was constantly brushing her legs and arms.

"I think she might be having sensory issues. She was acting weird early, like she was uncomfortable," Hunter whispered in his sister's ear. Willow overheard this and had an idea of what it could be.

"She never really liked playing in the sand when we were younger. She told me it was painful for her once," Willow mentioned quietly. Luckily, Amity was too hyperfocused to hear them.

'She probably thinks she'll be a burden if she asks to leave' Luz realized. It wasn't good for Amity to be exposed to the thing she's extremely uncomfortable with for so long. Luz really didn't want her to have a meltdown. She knew how horrible they felt.

2 hours was probably enough for everyone to at least get the beach experience so Luz decided she would come up with an excuse for them to leave early. Besides, they could always come back

"Man, I'm tired. Things are getting kind of boring now, perhaps we should head home," Luz said a little loud.

Hunter and Willow didn't understand what she was doing. Usually, Luz was always hyper. Then it clicked.
