A Not So Normal Day -KOTLC fanfiction-

Fitz POV

We had brought Keefe with us to Havenfield. As the tingling feeling that came with light leaping faded away, i became aware that Keefe and Sophie were still holding hands even thought the leap was over.

i felt a weird sensation in my stomach, when i saw it. it was like a kind of anger and resentment toward Keefe even though he was my best friend. i shook my head clear of whatever feeling it was.

we all walked to Verdi's pen, where Biana and Adeline were trying to give the neon dinosaur a bath.

"Do you want any help?" Sophie called out across the pastures.

"YES!!" Both girls screamed back on desperation.

Sophie laughed and ran to them. She expertly jumped onto Verdi's back and roped her mouth shut. She then made the silent motion with her fingers and gestured to Biana and Edaline to resume bathing the dinosaur.

Oncce that was complete and showers were taken, the four of us sat around Sophie's room. I was sitting in Sophie's desk chair while Biana sat on the windowsill. Sophie sat cross-legged at the head of the bed and Keefe was stretched out at the foot.

"So, does the mysterious Miss F have any life threatening situations going on right now?" Keefe asked giving Sophie his trademark smirk.

"Thankfully,no. But i'm sure that you want to tell us how you got detention for the next two months. " she replied smiling.

"Well you see..." Keefe began to tell his story.

I zoned out. In my mind i remembered the first day i met Sophie. The way she looked so startled when i told her that i was a telepath too.

Sometimes i just wish that it was always just us.
