CHAPTER 49

ARJUN'S POV

it was just another Friday and I stood in the entrance of the college leaning to my bike waiting for Keerthana to show up but it seemed forever!

Just like that, I noticed her friend's group walk in!
Aditi and Riya were busy talking and Aishwarya was the only one who noticed me and walked towards me, still, there was no sign of Keerthana

What the fuck happened to her?!

"Hey Arjun why are you standing here?!" Riya asked, it was rare Riya talked to others other than her friends or dev who was her club head but we did have a here-and-there conversation so yep!

"Was just waiting for Keerthana! Also, where is she?" I asked trying to be as causal as I can

"Why do you need her?"Aishwarya asked her eyes small and her tone suspicious and I don't even regret interpreting this cylinder and Vikram's conversations.

"Shut up Aishu! They have been working on that painting for a week! Arjun, she almost finished it but she is sick from last night so we forced her to take a day off" Aditi said. I swear nothing fell in my ears except the fact that Keerthana was sick!

"Right, I have a tiny job to be taken care of! I'll see you all around" saying I fished my bike keys and got on the bike but all the while the cylinder was looking at me suspiciously! I swear I will kidnap this lady and leave her alone on an island with no food. Sorry Vikram!

Within no minutes my bike stopped in front of her flat! Lifting the floor mat I found the keys
Don't ask me how I knew cause she blabbered this once when we were fighting for a paintbrush.

As I entered the room! Photo frames of the girls were all over the wall, Pringles can and pizza box lying around the floor and I walked towards the first room and saw Keerthana crawling under a huge blanket.

Maybe she heard me walk! She sat in the bed looking at me with her eyes all dull, her skin pale and hair all messed up.

The woman is definitely sick!

"You know breaking into my home is offensive?" She asked, her voice clearly saying she had a cold

"The doctor will arrive in a few minutes " I said and she pouted

"It's just a fever and cold," she said

KEERTHANA'S POV

If not me being sick right now! I wouldn't mind kissing the guy who stood leaning to the doorframe!

He did not have to look this hot early in the morning for no reason especially when this doctor was injecting me.

"Take two days rest and follow up these medicines! You'll be alright" the doctor said and took her leave.

A few minutes later! I stood up pulled my hair into a bun and stood in front of the mirror! A black tee which I stole from Aravind and my yoga pants were my outfit I looked homeless right now and he had to see me right now!

Why gawd?

Walking out of the room I saw Arjun in the kitchen pouring hot milk into the coffee power!

His muscular shoulders were the only thing I could see and I won't be complaining tho!

Hearing me walk, he turned around and gave me a look gently grabbed my waist lifted me in the air and placed me on the kitchen counter.

"You don't have to stay here skipping your class!" I said and he yet again looked at me and handed me the cup

Talk man! You don't have cotton candy in your mouth!

Taking slow sips from the delicious coffee he gave me, he looked at me and I looked at me cause there was nothing else to look at.

"You look pretty!" he said breaking the silence and I looked down at my outfit and then at him with a question mark on my face.

He chuckled and looked away placing the coffee mug on the counter

"After Ashok! You someone who makes the best coffee!" Yes I said that and watched him narrow his eyebrows

"Tell me more about it!" He said placing his hands on either side of my thighs, his shoulders relaxed and leaned in.

"Well! I meet him in a club! He asked me out, I said yes and things fired up and then I found him sleeping around, later he tried to manipulate me, gaslighting and shit but I was kinda already over him and broke up with him" I said

"That's all you did? No revenge?" Arjun asked

"Well yes! I went to the club yet again clicked a selfie and posted "Happy 6 months of togetherness "Just a week after breaking up with Ashok " I said, I knew that was silly but yeah I slept well that day knowing how Ashok would have felt.

Arjun looked at me for a minute and started to laugh, his eyes glowed as he threw his head back and laughed.

My heart fucking skipped a beat looking at his laugh, something warm swelled up my heart like I would not mind seeing this scene for the rest of my life.

Placing the mug away I saw his muscular hands beside me, his veins gave me a clear show and my hands ached to touch them and yet again I will let my hands do what they wanted.

As I trailed my fingers along his veins he looked at me, his hands gently held my chin and he placed his lips and peaked a soft kiss on my lips

"Don't!" I said and he looked at me again and peaked once again

"Arjun! I have a fever! You don't want to share gems do you?!" I asked and he smiled damn that smile.

Just when I was about to admire his smile, I hear Aishwarya and Riya's voices and I knew I was fucked up.

"Damn! They are back" I yelled and Arjun immediately grabbed his backpack and walked towards the balcony!

And I immediately ran to the store room and grabbed the ladder! Within a few seconds, Arjun disappeared and I let out a breath and turned around and saw Aishwarya standing in front of me that I jumped in shock.

"Why are two coffee cups in the kitchen kiki ?" He asked and blinked

"That..doctor! Yep the doctor was here and I offered a cup of coffee " I lied and she yet again looked at me suspiciously

"God! Let her rest Aisha! She is sick stop with your questions " Riya said and Aishu nodded still suspiciously.
