TIMESKIP ~ 2 WEEKS

Drifter sat at his bar alone. He hadn't opened it in a few days and something was just eating at him. A few days ago he had this dream, but to him it was a nightmare. He saw Echo alone in a room, her eyes completely black with black tears dripping down her face. In her hand was a hive sword and her robes were all tattered and torn. He was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard a familiar voice call out to him.

“Malok? What’s wrong?”  It was Echo, she had made her way to his side and sat next to him. Worry laced in her eyes.

He sighed and turned to look at her. She was here next to him, talking to him. It calmed him slightly. Drifter knew in a short period of time she would disappear again and he’d have to wait to see her again. He rested his hand on hers.

“Nothing’s wrong Darlin’, don’t worry too much.” He smiled to ease her worry. Her hand felt real, he could feel the warmth of her skin. She really was in the room with him.

“Drifter?” Storm walked in and he turned to look at her. “Who are you talking to?” she asked him. Quickly he turned back around to where Echo was, she was gone.

“Echo, she was…she was right here…” his voice trailed off. Storm looked confused.

“What do you mean? There was no one in here when I walked in.” Storm made her way to the seat that Drifter once saw Echo sitting in. She watched as he ran his hands through his hair in frustration, clearly in distress. “I think you may be seeing things Drifter, hallucinating maybe.” She noticed that it seemed to irritate him.

“Seein things!? She was right here, right in the chair you're sitting in!” He shouted, “I felt her, she felt real, she…she was here…” Storm saw his hands begin to shake. She looked up at him to see tears streaming down his face. He looked broken. “I just want her to come home…”

Storm placed her hand on his shoulder. She felt bad for her friend. Not only was his lover missing but he kept seeing hallucinations of her. They took him to Ikora and she even said it's just hallucinations.

"Maybe you're right…maybe I am just seein things Snakebite…" he sighed and brought his hands to his face. It was eating away at him. Storm stood up and helped the Drifter to his feet.

"Come on, let's go to my apartment so you can rest." Storm led him by the hand to her apartment. Once they arrived, she ushered him to the couch. As soon as he got comfortable he quickly fell asleep.

"For fucks sake Echo, where are you…can't you see he's losing his mind." Storm sighed and went to her room.

It felt strange I'm her room, like she was being watched. She shrugged it off, Storm knew no one could get in her apartment.

"Storm…" a small voice called out to her. She whipped her head around to find the source. There was nothing there, confusion pricked at the hunter. She jumped when she felt a hand on her shoulder.

She looked to see Izaria standing there and relaxed. "Oh thank the traveler it's just you. I was ready to kill someone." She laughed nervously. Izaria smiled softly, exhaustion clearly seen on her features. She and Crow have been searching for Echo for the past two weeks.

"I'm sorry Storm…we have no new leads on her location." Izaria looked down clearly upset. Storm sighed softly, she really did just vanish.

"Izaria…" a faint voice called out. Both paused, confused by the voice that called out to them. The pair flipped around to see none other than Echo standing behind them.

She had a small smile on her face, but she looked tired, no exhausted, almost like she was about to collapse. Both rushed over to her in a panic.

"Echo! Where have you been???" Izaria called out, "Do you have any idea how worried we were??" A sad smile made its way to the warlock's face.

"I'm sorry…" She apologized, her voice sounded frail and weak Storm grew irritated by that statement. Angry at what she was putting Drifter through.

"Sorry? You're sorry?" Storm stomped over to Echo. "Do you have ANY IDEA what he's going through???" She raised her hand and slapped the warlock, well tried too at least.

Storm paused as her hand seemingly went through the warlock's body. A nervous laugh came from Echo.

"What…what the…?" Storm just stared at Echo confused. Izaria moved closer to them finally.

"Echo, what's going on?" Izaria pleaded. Echo sighed softly and made a motion for them to come closer.

"I'm, I'm not really here." She stated, and disabled the spell to hide her actual appearance. "I'm trapped in the Dreaming City." The two hunters stopped as they saw her appearance.

Her robes were tattered and torn, her eyes looked tired. Black tear like stains were under her eyes. She looked so unwell. The two hunters paused in shock.

"Listen, I don’t have much energy left. I need you two to find Eris in the Dreaming City, near where Riven was kept." Izaria’s head lifted at that. "One of Xivu Arath's sons is trying to make me his vessel, I'm losing strength as we speak. I've sealed myself away in Riven’s chamber." She sighed softly before continuing.

"Storm, the visions Drifter was seeing, it was me. I was projecting myself to him just like I am to you two right now." She paused for a moment. "I can't keep this going much longer. I can feel myself weakening. Will you take me to him" Her voice was shaking.

Storm lead the warlock to her lover. Echo smiled softly at his sleeping figure. She leaned down to him and placed a kiss on his forehead. She stood up and looked at Storm.

"Please, come save me." She gazed back at Drifter, "Have Crow keep an eye on him please, for me?" Her gold eyes held sadness.

"Find Eris, she has Orion. She'll find a way." And with that the apparition of the warlock vanished, leaving behind a small crystal in front of the Drifter.

Storm and Izaria both agreed on one thing. They needed to find a 3rd fireteam member to come with them to save their warlock.
