CHAPTER VIII

“ Life is small , you need to forgive and take each other help in order to progress “

PEARL’S POV :

Finally Liam’s long awaited wish came true . He was able to see his father and spend some time with him .

That day , without knowing Stuart spend time with his son . I was thankful to him for spending time with Liam and taking care of him . He was in good mood until I told him about what happened with me in all those six years . His mood was suddenly changed and I can sense he is sad about it . But as usual he didn’t admitted that and went away without telling me anything . But what he said about him still wearing that wrist band that I had gifted  long time ago still makes me confused . What he really meant by that is still has a confusion in me .

Two days later , I got a call from a nearby gym , actually they want me to join their gym as a front desk receptionist . They told that it’s just their new opening so they will be paying me less from what I have expected but they promised me that they will increase my salary later on . But I don’t mind the salary , all it matters is I am getting the job and most importantly the money which I need the most in order to survive and look after my son . But one thing I noticed is that the landlord is not asking money from me any more , and moreover he is trying to keep a distance with me . I even went to request him to extend the deadline of the rent payment , but he told me that my rent has been already paid . When I inquired about the person who paid my rent , he was reluctant to disclose the identity . I don’t know who did that . Who has so much money ? 

I doubt , it may be Stuart . But why he will do that ? He doesn’t love me any more . I think he even don’t care whether I and Liam are alive or dead .

My  job in the gym  was simple , it's more like front desk job I just have to see the new people joining the gym . I have to keep a track of records of the yearly membership of the old and the current members . The job was working fine with me and I was managing Liam and me .

Two weeks later …

I was happy with my job until yesterday , when I received a better offer . Yesterday was Sunday , so I was having my week off and Liam was not having his school . I was making the lunch when I heard a knock at the door . I was busy so I requested Liam to look for the visitor . Frankly speaking , I wasn’t expecting the person who showed up , it was Daisy McAndrew . I cannot believe she decided to show up and I was more surprised when she offered me the job with double salary from what I was getting in the gym . She even brought toys for Liam .

After inquiring about the reason for offering me the job , she revealed the truth . She revealed that Stuart still misses me and loves me .

I don’t know why he still loves me after what I and my family did with him and his family . It’s not that I don’t love him , but I think he deserves someone better than me , I have only given him pain and suffering which he don’t deserves . But nevertheless, I am happy that he still cares for me .

As told , next day after dropping Liam to his school  , I went to McAndrew’s in order to start my first day in the new job . I even  informed the gym about my resignation , they didn’t created any problem , they even assured me that they will clear my dues .

Finally I reached McAndrew’s , but this time not for seeking the job , rather going to have my first day in this new job .  My heart was beating very fast than usual and an awkwardness arose inside me about facing Stuart .

I pushed the door and entered , Daisy saw me and she gave a broad smile to me . I went towards her , but she was helping one  customers so I just waited for my turn . She  made me take a seat so that she can help that customer .
