Brothers Best Friend

Chapter 2

"Jenna I'm going to work I'll be back later tonight!", Kale yelled. "Okay. Bye.", I yelled back. As soon as I heard his car start up I made my way downstairs to get something to eat. I knew if I went down while he was here that he would've embarrassed me in front of Alec. As I was waking down the stairs I heard the TV still on. Huh, that's weird.. My parents and Kale are at work who else could be here? Oh no Alec is still here. I walk into the kitchen and start to heat up some pizza when I hear foot steps coming towards the kitchen. Okay stay calm. "Hey Jenna.", Alec said. I turned around to see Alec only wearing basketball shorts and automatically my face started to turn red. "Hey Alec.", I said with a smile. Then I turned around and continued to wait for my pizza. "I thought you would've went with my brother,", I said. "I decided to stay here and chill out. Is that alright with you?", Alec said. "Yeah of course! I just thought you'd want to hang out with my brother instead of me, a boring 15 year old.", I laughed. "You're only 15. Wow! you look way older.", He said surprised. "Yeah I'll be 16 in August.", I said with a smile. My pizza was done so I decided to turn around and when I did I came face to face with Alec who was now sitting at the island. "I'll  be 19 in October.", He laughed. "Would you like something to drink.", I said. "Can I have a bottle of water?", He asked. "Of course.", I said with a smile on my face. I handed him the water and sat down beside him. "So what grade are you in?.", He asked. "11th.", I said. "What do you want to do when your older?", He asked. "A radiologist.", I replied. "What about you?", I asked. "I don't know yet honestly.", He laughed. "You're pretty cool Jenna.". He said. "You're not bad yourself Alec.", I said then smiled. "You want to go watch a movie? I mean only if you want to.", He said. "I'd love to.", I said. We both got up and went to the couch and grabbed some blankets. "What movie do you wanna watch?", I asked. "Whatever you want to watch.", He replied. "Is Pitch Perfect okay?", I asked. "Yeah that movie is  hilarious!", He said. I put on the movie and sat on the other end of the love seat. I was really nervous so I decided to keep my distance. As the movie started to play I could see him scooting closer and by the time the movie started he was sitting so close that our legs were touching. As the movie played I felt like I was getting ready to fall asleep and without thinking I rested my head on his shoulder and automatically he put his arm around my waist and I smiled. Then I started to think, I shouldn't get my hopes up. He probably has a girlfriend. Even if he didn't have a girlfriend, why would he want to date a 15 year old? Those thoughts quickly slipped my mind and I began to drift off and a few minutes later I felt someone lift me up off the couch. Within seconds I was being put in my bed and the covers were being put over me. The last thing I heard was someone saying "Goodnight Beautiful." Then I realized who it was. Alec.
