Brothers Best Friend

Chapter 3

Alec's P.O.V

So this summer I'm going home with my friend Kale. He's told me that he has a little sister that can be quite annoying. Oh great I have to deal with a little kid on my summer break. We pull up to the house and his mom comes outside and starts hugging him. Oh this is awkward already. His mom makes her way to me and says "You must be Alec. Nice to meet you.", She said. "Nice to meet you too.", I replied. We all start to walk in the house when his mom yells for Jenna to come downstairs. Oh no here she comes. I hear Jenna coming down the stairs and I just think here goes nothing. I walk around the corner and I am shocked at what I see. Jenna isn't as little as Kale described. She's beautiful! I walk over to her and introduce myself. Her voice is like music to my ears. She's perfect. "Hey make yourself at home.", Kale said. So I went and changed into something more comfortable and decided to watch some TV. "Hey I have to go to work and so do my parents. Will you be okay here with Jenna?", Kale said. "Yeah man go ahead I'll be alright here.", I said. Kale and his parents left and a few minutes later I hear Jenna coming down the stairs. I should go get to know her better I said in my head. So I built up the courage to go into the kitchen and talk to her. "Hey Jenna.", I said. "Hey Alec." She turned back around. Did I do something wrong? "I thought you would've went with my brother.", She said. Am I making her uncomfortable? Because she seems like she doesn't want to talk to me. "I decided to stay here and chill out. Is that alright with you?", I asked. "Yeah of course! I just thought you'd want to hang out with my brother instead of me, a boring 15 year old.", She laughed. Wow she's only 15! She looks way older! "You're only 15. Wow! you look way older.", I said surprised. "Yeah I'll be 15 in August.", She said with a smile. Her smile is so perfect. Wait! Alec slow down you haven't even been here for a day. She finally turned back around and faced me. "I'll be 19 in October.", I laughed. "Would you like something to drink?", She asked. "Can I have a bottle of water?", I asked. "Of course.", She said. She went to the fridge to get my water and I couldn't help but notice that she was just in sweats and a t-shirt with no make up on and she still looked perfect. She handed me the water and sat beside me. "So what grade are you in?", I asked. "11th.",She said. "What do you want to do when your older?', I asked. "A radiologist.", She replied. "What about you?", She asked. "I don't know yet honestly.",I laughed. She's pretty cool. I shouldn't have listened to Kale when he said she was annoying. That's what ever sibling says. "You're pretty cool Jenna.", I said. "You're not bad yourself Alec.", She smiled. "You want to go watch a movie?  I mean only if you want to", I said. "I'd love to.", She said. We got up and I sat down on the couch and she grabbed some blankets. "What do you want to watch?", She said. "Whatever you want to watch.", I replied. "Is Pitch Perfect okay.", She asked. "Yeah that movie is hilarious!", I said. The movie started to play and she sat on the other side of the couch. Is she afraid of me or something? As the movie continued to play my confidence grew. I started to scoot closer and closer to her. By the time the movie started we were so close that our legs were touching. As the movie played I saw her eyes struggling to stay awake. When all of a sudden she put her head on my shoulder and on instinct I put my arm around her. I should probably take her to bed I said to myself. I lifted her off the couch and walked into her room and carefully put her into her bed. I stood there for a few seconds and just admired her. I haven't felt tis way about anyone for a long time and I don't even know much about her. I leaned over her and kissed her forehead "Goodnight Beautiful.", I whispered. Then I went into the guest room and laid down on thee bed and whispered to myself "I think I'm falling in love." I then fell asleep happier than I've ever felt before all because of one person. Jenna.
