Oblivious

Chapter 10

"Are you happy you get to skip out on PE?" Ethan asked me. "Very much so." I say. "We are staring the hockey unit." I roll my eyes. "I know. I already did one at my old school and this girl whacked me in the face with a hockey stick and my nose started to bleed and I had to go to the nurse." I say. "And I was doing really good too." I added with a pout. Ethan just laughed. His laugh is too cute. Grayson came up beside us. "Ready to get your hockey on?" He asked. "Nope but I'm ready to get my sit in the bleachers on!" I say. We enter the gym and I go left and the boys go right. I enter the locker room and walk over Bobbi. "Hey!" I say. "Ugh. You're so lucky you don't have to run or anything." She said. I laugh. "That's the one good thing about this cast. Do you know how hard it was to put on my pants? I struggled for 20 minutes. 20!" I say. Bobbi just laughed. "Alright lady's let's go. 8 minute warm up run!" The coach yells. I smile knowing I don't have to run. "Sterling sit on the bleachers and stay out of the way." The coach said. I nodded my head.

I waited for everyone to get out of the locker room before I left. I was just about to walk out of the door when some one spoke from behind me. "Hey! Turn around!" They yelled. I turned around and came face to face with I think her name is Allison. "Yeah?" I ask with a smile. "Stay away from Ethan!" She said. "We are just friends." I say. "Yeah right slut. Me and my friends are going to make your life miserable here." She said. I really wanted to correct her on her grammar because it's my friends and I but I feel like it would make the situation worse. "Out of my way bitch." She said. I tried to step out of the way but I guess I was too slow because Allison kicked my cast. I yelped out in pain. She then walked right past me and into the gym. Man I just want to rip the blonde hair right off her head.

I'm sitting in the bleachers next to Bobbi. Everyone was setting up the hockey stuff so Bobbi came to keep me company. She was saying something but I wasn't really paying attention because I was too busy staring at Ethan. He was helping set up one of the goals. He was wearing a cut off shirt so I could see his arm muscles perfectly and it was so cute when he threw his head back when he laughed and let's no forget about how h- "Madison? Are you listening?" Bobbi asked, interrupting my thoughts. "Oh sorry. I was lost in thought." I say trying to cover up my drooling over Ethan. "You like him don't you?" Bobbi asked. I looked at her. "What? Who?" I asked even thought I already knew who she was taking about. "Ethan dummy." She said. I looked over at him and bit my lip. "Is it that obvious?" I ask. "Well when you are practically drooling over him, yes it is." She jokes. I roll my eyes. "Too bad he'll never like me back." I say. "If he doesn't like you then he's a complete idiot. You're a great catch. You're smart, funny, sweet, and beautiful." Bobbi said. "Aww thanks Bobbi!" I say as I hug her. "Your a great friend." I say. "Bobbi! Get your butt over here and help set up!" The coach yelled. "I better go!" Bobbi said before running off.

I watched as everyone played hockey. Ethan looked extremely cute as he played. Bobbi currently had the puck. Allison was on the opposite team and I saw her running right for Bobbi. Some people take PE too seriously. Allison lunged at the Bobbi but Bobbi quickly side stepped to the right and Allison totally face planted. I had to cover my mouth to keep my laughter in. That's what she gets. I couldn't help but smile until Ethan came over and helped her up. He smiled at her and helped her off the ground. Allison smiled flirtatiously. She started to twirl her hair and she put one arm under her chest as an obvious attempt to make her boobs look bigger and of corse Ethan was enjoying it. I scoffed. Is this really what boys like? I saw Allison reach her hand up and rub Ethan's arm. I rolled my eyes. She is trying way too hard. Do they not realize that there is a hockey game going on around them?

I couldn't take watching them any more. I made my way over too the coach. "Coach can I go to the nurses office. I think I'm going to throw up." I say. It's not really a lie. Watching Allison and Ethan flirt with each other really did make me want to throw up. "Ok hurry up and don't throw up on my gym floor." She said. I nodded my head and hurried out of the gym. I opened the gym door and turned around to get one last look. Ethan's eyes met mine. He gave me a confused look. I just shook my head before walking out of the gym. I made my way to the nurse. "What do you need honey?" The nurse asked when I walked in. "I feel like throwing up." I tell her. "Ok go ahead and call someone to pick you up. There's been a bug going around the school and I'm not risking you getting other students sick." She said. I couldn't call my aunt so there was only one other person that I knew had access to a car and wasn't at school.

I waited outside for Jake. Eventually the twins car pulled up beside me. I got in the passenger seat. "Hey, thanks for picking me up." I say. "No problem. How come you needed to be picked up?" He asked. "I just saw something that made me sick to my stomach." I say truthfully. Jake just nodded. We got to the twins house and Jake opened the car door for me. "What a gentleman." I say. Jake smiles and picked me up. I laugh. "You're too kind." I say. "Anything for you." He said. I smile at him. Jake takes me into the twins house. He sat me down in the living room. "What do you want to do?" Jake asked. "Can you just cuddle with me?" I asked. Jake chuckled. "It would be an honor." He said. Jake laid down on the couch and opened his arms. I smiled and laid down next to him. Well more like I laid on top of him. Jake wrapped his arms around me and I buried my head into his neck. "I like this." Jake said. I raised my head up and looked at him. "So do I." I say. I lean down and kiss his cheek before burying my face into his neck again. After a while I heard Jake's soft snores. I soon fell asleep on top of Jake.
