The door bell rang indicating the pizza was here. I jumped up because it was my turn to pay. I run to the door and open it. A boy was standing there with the pizza. He was really cute. "Hi how much is it?" I asked with a smile. "$15.65 but I'll knock it down to $10 for a beautiful girl." He said. I blushed. I pulled a 10 dollar bill out of my wallet and handed it to him. "My names Jack by the way." He said. "Madison." I say. I took the pizza and the breadsticks. I bit my lip. "Could you stay here for a sec?" I asked. He nodded. I left the door open and ran into the kitchen I set the food down. I grabbed a note pad and a pin and wrote my number down. I rushed back to the door and handed the slip of paper to Jack. He smiled and took it. "Have a nice night beautiful." He winked and walked to his car. I smiled and closed the door. I ran back into the living room. I jumped on Bobbi and screamed. "Get off of me fat ass!" She yelled. I just laughed because that's the kind of friends we are. "Guess what!" I said. "Can't breath." She said. I laughed and got off of her. "Ok what?" She asked. "Ok so the pizza delivery guy was super cute and he called me beautiful then I gave him my number." I said super fast. Bobbi starred at me for a few seconds then began to scream! We got off the clutch and began jumping up and down like idiots. Bobbi high fived me. "I'm proud of you!" She said. I did a hair flip. "I drive all the boys crazy." I say. Then I added. "Well except the one I really want." Bobbi crosses her arms. "He likes you. You just don't see it." She says.

I roll my eyes. "Who are you talking about?" David asked. I forgot he was here. "Ethan." Bobbi says. "Bobbi!" I yell. She put her hands up. "It's not like he's going to tell. But if he does I will personally make sure he never has children." She said the last part looking at David. He then held his hands up. "I won't tell." He said. I smiled. "Good. The pizza is the kitchen." We all run to the kitchen. I go straight for the breadsticks. I took a bite out of one. "S'good!"

We finished the pizza and the breadsticks and went back into the living room to watch a movie. I got a text.

Hey it's Jack!

It read. I smiled to myself. I replied.

Sorry having girls night. Can we text later?

Yeah sure that's fine. Night beautiful.

Night handsome.

I smile at my flirting. I clicked on Ethan's texts because I was tempted to text him. Girls night or not. I saw three dots appear. I hurry up and click the home screen. He would think it was creepy if I read it right away. I waited five minutes and still no text. I opened his texts again. There was still 3 little dots. I clicked my home screen again. I waited another 10 minutes. Nothing. I clicked the texts again. I saw three little dots but then they stopped. No text. What the heck? "Bobbi." I say. "Yeah?" She asked. She had just put in The Emperors New Groove. "Ok so the whole 15 minutes you were trying to pick a movie. Ethan was typing a text to me then after 15 minutes he stopped and no text. What does this mean?" I ask. "He was probably confessing his undying love for you!" Bobbi said dramatically while she clutched her heart and "fainted". I chucked at her silliness. "Should I text him?" I asked. "No ask him in person so then you can see his face." She wiggles her eyebrows. I rolled my eyes but I couldn't hide my smile. She's such a dork but she's my dork. Bobbi and I sat back down on the couch. We grabbed a blanket and cuddled because we're cool like that. David scooted closer to me and leaned on me. I didn't really care because he does this every time. We watched the movie then I soon fell asleep.

I woke up to my phone ringing. I jumped up and quickly turned it off. It was a text from Ethan.
E: go out side and watch the stars with me
M: are you on drugs? It is 11:58pm
E: just do it!
M: we aren't even at the same house
E: please?
M: fine. 😒😡
I huffed and got off the couch. I was careful to not wake up Bobbi or David. I tiptoed to the front door and opened it and walked out, closing the door behind me. I looked up and saw that the stars were shining bright. Brighter than usual I thought. I continued to stare up at the sky as I pulled my phone out. I was going to text Ethan to tell him I was looking at the starts but I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. "Pretty isn't it." It was Ethan's voice. "You scared me!" I whisper shouted. "Why are you here?" I ask. "Wait!" Ethan held his phone out in front of me. I watched as the clock went from 11:59pm to 12:00am. "Happy birthday princess." Ethan whispered. He kissed my cheek. I spun around and hugged him. "Thank you." I said. We didn't break the hug for a long time. I got a text from Jordan. I pulled away and read the text.
J: happy 16th! Sorry I'm like 5 minutes late! Love you!
M: it's ok. Love you too night.
I put my phone away and looked up at Ethan. "Your awesome." I say. "Not as awesome as the birthday girl!" He said. I laughed. We both sat down in the grass in front of Bobbi's house and stared up at the stars. I laid my head on his shoulder while he laid his head on top of mine. "I brought you one of your gifts." Ethan said after a while. "You got me more than one! You're so sweet." I say. Ethan pulls out a box from his picket and hands it to me. I open it and gasp. "I love it! How much did this cost? If you spent a lot of money on this you need to take it back." I say. It was a beautiful necklace. The charm was a small elephant and it had diamonds all around it. Ethan shrugged. "It didn't cost much." He said. "Ok good. Now put it on me." I instructed. I handed the necklace to Ethan and turned around. He put the necklace around my neck. I turned around and gave him a big hug. "Thank you so much. I love you." I say before I kissed his cheek. "I love you too." He kissed my forehead. I shivered. It was kind of cold out here. Ethan took off his hoodie and offered it to me. "No then you'll be cold." I refuse. "I'll be fine. Take it." He insisted. I took the hoodie from him and pulled it over my head. It smelt like him. Ethan and I stayed up and watched the stars all night. We even stayed up to watch the sunrise. My birthday has already been perfect. "I should probably get back home before my mom sees me gone." Ethan said. I nodded my head. I never wanted this to end. Ethan stood up then helped me stand up. Ethan gave me a hug. We hugged for a few minutes till he pulled away. "Good bye birthday girl. See you later." He said. "Bye." I said with a smile. Ethan gave me a kiss on the cheek before walking away. I turned around and walked back into Bobbi's house with the biggest smile on my face. I closed her front door behind me before leaning my back on the door and sliding down till my butt was on the floor. I grabbed the necklace from my neck and looked at how beautiful it was. Ethan is perfect.
