Oblivious

Chapter 12

I couldn't look at them any more. I turn to Jake and give him a fake smile. "Thanks for the ice cream by the way." I say. I lean over and give him a kiss on the cheek. I laid my head in his shoulder and closed my eyes. Soon the car doors opened including my door. I looked over to see Allison. Are you kidding me? "Move." She said. I gave her a shocked look. She can't seriously be this rude. "Please?" She asked. Although she said please it was still rude. I rolled my eyes. Jake had already scooted over so I moved next to him. Allison got into the car next to me. I moved as close to Jake as possible. I laid my head back on his shoulder and closed my eyes. I couldn't stand the sight of her.

Finally we pulled up to the twins house. Jake got out of the car and picked me up. He started to walk to the twins house. "Could you take me to my house. I have to feed the animals." I say. "Ok Let's grab your crutches then head over there." Jake says. I smile. "Sounds like a plan." Jake walks into the boys house and into the living room where my crutches were. I smile at Grayson but ignore Ethan. If I look at him I might cry or throw a book at his head because he was making out with the devil. Jake grabs my crutches. "Hey Madison why did you leave so early?" Ethan asked. "Hurry up. I don't want to talk right now." I whisper to Jake. He nods and walks to the door. Ethan just looked at me. It was clear he was expecting an answer but he wasn't t going to get one. I burry my head into Jake's neck. Jake walked out the front door. "Are you mad at Ethan?" Jake asked. "Yeah you know the girl that's over there. Yeah she's the devil and he was sucking faces with her." I say.

"How is she the devil?" Jake asked. I huffed. "Ok Ethan and I are just friends but today she said that I better stay away from him. Then she said her and her friends are going to make my life miserable at school. Which I really don't need again. Then she kicked my cast. That hurt man. Like a lot." I say. By this time Jake was walking into my house. He put me down and handed me my crutches. "She does sound evil." Jake said. I nodded my head. "You can leave now I'll be back over in a little bit." I say. I lied I'm not coming back over. Allison is already spreading her evil as we speak. "Ok I'll see you later." Jake kissed my cheek and left. I really did have to feed the animals so first would be my cat. "Here mama kitty!" I yelled. Everyone calls her mama kitty because she's so fat. She came running down the stairs. The only time she runs is when she knows she's getting food. She follows me into the kitchen and I fill up her food and water bowls. Next is my tarantula. I struggle my way up stairs and into my room. I grab the container of crickets and open the lid of the tank. I place 3 crickets into the tank and watch Octavia devour one. Now I have to feed my sisters rat. I walk down the hall and into her room. I see her laying in her bed. "Oh hey. Haven't seen you around here in a while." I say. She looks over at me. "Yeah I've been crashing with a friend." She says. I nod my head. I look over at her rats tank and see that she's already fed it. I turned around and started to walk out of her room. "Madison, wait. I'm sorry for always being so mean to you. With mom and dad gone I want to be closer." She said. I smile at her. "I would love that." Joselynn gets off her bed, walks over to me and gave me a hug. I hugged back. We eventually pull away. "Ok well I'm going to go back to my room and listen to sad music." I say. "Boy problems?" Joselynn questioned. "Boy problems." I reply. "Ok well let me know if you need help." I nod my head and turn around. I get back to my room and plug my phone into my speakers. I flop into my bed and the song Girl Crush by Little Big Town started to play. I smile at the irony because this song perfectly describes what I'm feeling right now. I eventually fell asleep.

I wake up to my body being lifted out of my bed. I open my eyes to see Jake. "Hey. What are you doing?" I whisper. I'm still sleepy. "You said that you would come back over." Jake said. "But I'm sleepy." I complain. "Then you and I can snuggle like earlier. And don't worry the chick is gone." Jake said. I was too tired to argue so I just laid my head on his chest. Jake made it over to the twins house and into their living room.

Jake sat me down and we sat in the couch. "Where are the boys?" I asked. "Making a video because they forgot to do one on Tuesday." Jake replied. Oh no they forgot to up load and Dolan Twin Tuesday video! "Let's watch a movie." I suggest. "Ok. What do you want to watch?" Jake asked. "A Disney movie." I say. Jake nodded and went over to the twins movies. "Ok let's see they have The Little Mermaid, Dumbo, The Emperors New Groove, Sle-" "The Emperors New Groove!" I shout. It's my favorite Disney movie. Jake put the movie in and sat back down next to me.

Once the movie was over the twins came running down the stairs. Once I saw them I burst out laughing. "You guys look so pretty." I say. They had make up all over their faces. "We did the blind makeup challenge." Grayson said. (It's from their newest video.) I couldn't stop laughing. "Who looks prettier?" Ethan asked and struck a pose. I laughed. Grayson's make up looked slightly better than Ethan's. "Well Ethan I do say you look stunning." I say. Everyone laughed. "Ok well we better go get cleaned up." Grayson said. "But first." Ethan said with an evil grin. "Madison, come here." He said. I narrowed my eyes at him. "I'm good." I say. "Fine then I will come to you." He said. Ethan started to walk towards me. "Jake hand me my crutches." I say. "Yeah I left those at your house." He said. Oh no. Ethan was getting closer. I started to scoot down the couch. Suddenly Ethan tackled me down so that he was on top of me. He started to kiss all over my face just not my lips 😑 getting his makeup all over me. "Ethan!" I yelled. "What? I love my best friend." Ethan said. He continued to kiss all over my face. The words best friend crushed me. "Ok stop." I said. I couldn't help but laugh. Ethan leaned up and looked me in the eyes. "Ok fine." He kissed my nose before getting off of me. Ethan and Grayson went up stairs to was off their faces. I grabbed my phone and looked at my face. I have makeup smudged all over my face. "He likes you." Jake said. "What? No he doesn't he just called me his best friend and he was making out with Allison." I said her name with clear discuss. "You like him too. Don't you?" Jake asked. I didn't look at him. I couldn't lie to his face. "You do. And I like you and I know you like me a little back but you like him more and you need to fight for him." Jake said. I looked up at him. "He doesn't like me but thanks any way." I sit up and kiss his cheek. "Can you take me home so I can shower and get all this stuff off?" I asked. "Sure thing." Jake picked me up and carried me back to my house. Once Jake left I took a bath and got all the makeup off my face. I put my pajamas on and got into bed. I dreamt of my parents.
