Oblivious

Chapter 18

"I'm so sorry." Ethan said. His arms where still tightly wrapped around me. "No it's ok. I over reacted." I say. "I missed you." I added. "I missed you so much." Ethan said. I pulled away and wiped away some tears. Ethan wiped away some with his thumb. "Why are you crying?" He asks. "I just missed you." It may sound dumb but through out this month my feelings for Ethan only got stronger. "I missed you too princess." Ethan said. I smiled. "We should do something." Grayson said. "Agreed." I nod my head. "Let's go swimming." Ethan said. I froze. "Uh you guys can. I'll just watch. You know tan a little." I say. This month has been awful and I cut. A lot. But only on my stomach. After Ethan saw them that one time I didn't cut on my wrist. "Oh come on. Swim with us!" Grayson said. I huff. "No promises." I say. Ethan and Grayson cheered. I went inside my house and up to my room. I stripped out of my clothes and put my bikini on. Then I put on a pair of shorts and a loose t-shirt. I leave my room and walk down the stairs. I walk out my front door and to the twins back yard. Once I get there I see that Ethan and Grayson were already in the pool. "Come on Madison! Get in!" Ethan yelled. I shook my head. "I don't want to get wet." I say. Grayson gets an evil smile. "Hey Ethan did you know that Madison li-" "Grayson finish that sentence and it will be the last thing you ever say." I threaten. "Then get in." He says. I glare at him. Ethan looks really confused which is good. I take my shorts off and jump in. "You still have your shirt on." Ethan said when I got to the surface. "Oh yeah I forgot." I lied. There was no way in taking my shirt off and reveling the cuts.

The boys and I swam around for a while until we decided to get out. "Can I borrow one your shirts?" I asked the boys. "Yeah I'll be right back." Ethan said and he ran inside. Once he was out of sight I hit Grayson. "Ow! What was that for?" Grayson asked while rubbing his arm. "Gee I don't know maybe for you almost telling Ethan I like him you jerk." I say. I cross my arms and glare at him. "Well at least you had fun." Grayson said. I roll eyes. "I swear if he finds out I will chop off your toes." I point my finger at Grayson. "If who finds out what?" A voice from behind Grayson said. I looked over Grayson's shoulder to see Ethan. "Uh do you have a shirt?" I asked, avoiding his question. He tossed one of his shirts at me. He also had a shirt for him and Gray. "Are you going to answer my question?" Ethan asked. "It's nothing. Now turn around so I can but this on." I say. Ethan and Grayson turn their backs to me and I turn around also just in case. I began to lift my wet shirt up when I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. Ethan laid his chin on my shoulder. "What were you talking about?" He asked in an adorably childish voice. "Ethan it's nothing." I say. Ethan bit my cheek. "Hey! Don't bite me!" I say. "Then tell me what you were talking about." Ethan's breath against my shin sent shivers down by back. I turned around and looked him in the eye. "I'll tell you once you turn around and I put on a dry shirt." I say. Ethan smiled and turned around. Now was the time to think of a lie. I lift the wet shirt off and slip the dry one on and I also put on my shorts. Let's see I could tell him that I told Grayson if my chemistry teacher finds out that I think he smells like cheese I would chop his toes off. Yeah that's what I'll go with. "Ok tell me." Ethan said. I turned around. Him and Gray had their shirts on."I didn't say you could look." I narrowed my eyes at him. He rolled his eyes. "Just tell me." He said. "Ok fine I was talking about my chemistry teacher finding out that I think he smells like cheese." I lie. "Really that's what you refused to tell me?" Ethan asked. "I told you it was nothing." I shrug my shoulders.

"Ok let's go eat something I'm starving." Ethan said after a while of sitting in their house. I was pretty dry by now. "Same! We should go get subway. I'll pay." I offer. "What is up with you and subway?" Grayson asks. "It's the love of meh life." I respond. "Ok let's go but you're not paying." Ethan said. "I'm not going to argue because it's free food and it will delay subway time. So let's go." I say pointing my finger in the air and marching to the front yard. "Who's driving?" I ask. "I am." Ethan said. I nod my head and keep walking. "Shotgun!" Grayson yells. I take off running. "Ethan trip him!" I yell. I hear Grayson hit the ground and I laugh evilly. I get to their car and I jump in the passenger seat. I lock the door so Grayson can't open it. Ethan gets in the drivers seat shaking his head but he has a smile on his face. Grayson gets in the back with his arms crossed and his bottom lip sticking out. "I hate you." He grumbled. "Oh shut up you know you love me." I say. "Unfortunately I do." Grayson said. A smug smile formed in my face. Ethan started the car and pulled out of the driveway. "Subway is so yummy. Subway is so good for my tummy. I could eat it all day. I makes me scream yay! Subway subway subway! Suuuubwaaaay!" I sang. I'm an awful singer but I sing any way. "Do you have to sing that every time we go to subway?" Ethan asked. I smile. "Sure do. It's meh jingle." I say. Ethan shakes his head but I saw the hint of a smile on his lips. We listened to music the rest of the way.

We pulled into the subway parking lot and I jumped out of the car. I ran inside and got in the line. Ethan and Grayson walked in and got into line next to me. The line was pretty long which made me want to cry. I just want my subway. I was tapping my foot and rehearsing over what I was going to say to the dude because I get nervous saying my order and I don't know why. Half way through rehearsing a pair of hands went over my eyes. "Guess who?" I could recognize that voice from anywhere. "Jake!" I shouted. I spun around and jumped on him and squeezed his chest. Jake hugged me back and spun me around. He sat me down. "I haven't seen you in forever!" I say. My cheeks hurt from how big I was smiling. "I know I've missed you." Jake said. Jake bro hugged Ethan and Grayson. "Do you like my little surprise?" Ethan asked. "Like it? I love it!" I say. I wrap my arms back around Jake. I don't let go till we order and of corse I stumble over my words at least 5 times. We finish ordering and sit down at a table. "What is up with you and ordering food?" Jake asked followed by a chuckle. I shrug my shoulders. "I don't know." I say. I unwrap my beautiful, beautiful sandwich and take a bite. I hear the bell on the door ring and out of curiosity I look up. My eyes widen and I froze. It's Noah.
