Oblivious

Chapter 16

"So how was your day?" Grayson asked me when I got into their car. "Both amazing and mortifying." I say. "How so?" Ethan asked. I bit my lip to hide my smile. "Ok it was great because apparently when I dress like this guys actually notice me. I got like 4 guys numbers. Then it was mortifying because I got slapped in the butt three times but don't worry because three guys now have a broken hand. And then there was my encounter with Allison." I say. Grayson huffed. "What happened with Allison." Gray really did not like her. My eyes started to water but I held back my tears. "She said that I looked like a slut and my parents probably jumped in front of the car to get away from me." I say in barely a whisper. I whipped away the single tear that fell down my face. Grayson pulling into his drive way. "Why is she such a bitch?" Gray practically yelled. I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know but at least most of the day was good besides guys touching my butt and Allison." I say. "Well maybe that wouldn't happen if you didn't dress like a slut." Ethan said. "Ethan!" Grayson yelled. I just stared at Ethan in shock. "It's true." Ethan said. "Fuck you Ethan!" Say before getting out of the car and running into my house. I could already feel the tears soaking my face.

I've never done this before. I've always felt that I have had at least one person by my side even when my parents died. I've dealt with Alison's bullying for awhile now but Ethan too? I can't deal with this. I heard cutting releases stress and pain or whatever. I drag the razor across my skin. It hurt but it was a good pain. I couldn't quite describe it. I took all of my built up pain and anger out on my arm. I didn't stop till I heard a knock on my door. "Madison sweetie? Is everything alright?" It was my aunt. I quickly turned on the shower. "Uh yeah I'm just going to shower." I say. "Ok. Just making sure." She said. I heard her walk away. I really did need to shower and wash off the blood. I stripped out of my clothes and stepped into the shower. Once I got out I just put my pajamas on and went to bed.

It's now Friday and this week has been an endless cycle of waking up, going to school, avoiding Ethan, getting bullied, going home, cutting, and going to sleep. I get dressed which is a long black sleeved sweat shirt with a white heart in the middle, black leggings, and a gray beanie. I walk down stairs and out the front door. I still ride with Grayson and Ethan to school but I ignore Ethan's attempts to talk to me. I got in the car. "Hey Gray." I say with a smile. "Hey." He said back. "Hey Madison." Ethan said. I just rolled my eyes and looked out the window. "You don't have to be such a bitch." He said. I felt the anger boil up in me. "What's your problem man!" Grayson yelled at Ethan. "Yeah you're being a real jerk." I say. Ethan rolls his eyes and I flipped him off. Grayson pulls up to into a parking space. I jump out of the car and slam the door and walk as fast as I could away from Ethan. I don't know what's wrong with him lately but it's really starting to piss me off. I walk into school only to be tripped right away. I huff and pick up all my stuff. I go to grab one of my notebooks but someone grabs it before I do. I look up and my eyes meet a pair of beautiful blue ones. "Uh th-thanks." I say. I stand up and stick my hand out. "I'm uh Madison." I say. This boy is so cute. "Noah." I could stare into his eyes all day long. "Are you new here?" I ask. "Yeah how could you tell?" Noah asked. "Well you helped me pick up my stuff instead of kicking it all the way down the hall." I say. Noah chuckles. "Well why wouldn't I help out a beautiful girl." I blush. I see Ethan walk into the school. His eyes meet mine and his face looks full of guilt but I just glare at him. Noah turns around and looks at Ethan then back at me. "An ex?" He asked. "No he's my best friend. Well at least he was." I say. Noah nods his head. "What class do you have?" I ask Noah. "Um advanced history with Mr.Barns." He says. I smile. "Well then follow me. That's where I'm going." I say. I grab Noah's hand and lead him down the halls.

Once we walked into the class room I notice Ethan is already there. Ethan looks at Noah and I's interlocked hands. "There's a seat next to me in the back if you want to sit there." I say. "It would be a honor to sit next to the prettiest girl I've seen." I feel a little smile tug at the corners of my mouth and I blush. Noah and I take a seat in the back. "Madison I'm sorry." Ethan said. I just ignored him. Class started and my wrist were really itchy. I kept on scratching them. I took a glance at Ethan and saw him staring at my wrist. I tug my sleeve down and look away from Ethan.

The bell finally rang and I ran out of the class room. "Madison wait!" I heard Ethan shout. I ignored him and continued to walk. I felt someone grab my arm and turn me around. "What do you want Ethan?" I ask. He rolled up my sleeve and pointed to my many cuts. I jerked my arm away from him and rolled my sleeve down. "Not like you care." I say before walking off. I walk into the gym and go into the girls locker room. I change into athletic shorts and a long sleeved athletic shirt. "Hey girl." Bobbi said when she walked into the locker room. "Hey." I smile at her. Bobbi gets changed and we walk out into the gym. I look over and see Noah. He winks at me and I blush. "Did I just see the super cute new guy wink at you?" Bobbi asked. "Maybe." I say. "Nice." Bobbi says as she applauds me. I smile and shake my head.

Finally PE is over. I walk out of the locker room and I hear my name being called. I turned around to see Noah jogging towards me. "Hey." I say with a smile. "I was wondering if I could take you home today." Noah asks. I smile. It sure beats riding home with Ethan. "Sure I'd like that." I say. "Ok meet me in front of the school after school ends." Noah said before kissing my cheek and leaving the gym. I blush and touch my cheek. I look to my right and see Ethan staring at me. I smirk before leaving the gym.
