Oblivious

Chapter 28

"I missed you Ethan's bed!" I yell as I flop on to Ethan's bed. Ethan laughed and laid down next toe. "What do you want to do?" He asked. "Cuddle and talk." I say. Ethan opened his arms and gave we a big smile. I smiled. He's too cute. I scooted into his arms and buried my head into his neck. "How did you like meeting all your fans?" I asked. I practically heard him smile. "It was great. They are all so supportive. But it was kind of crazy how many people asked us to kiss." He said. It was true there were at least 100 girls that asked if they could get a picture of Ethan and I kissing and as much and I would of loved to we both said no. "Yeah totally crazy. Did you like all the other people at digi fest?" I asked. "Yeah they were great." He said. "How did you like Nash?" I asked. I felt him tense up. "He's ok I guess." He says. I lean up and look at him. "Why don't you like him?" I asked. He sighed. "I don't not like him. It's just you spent more time with him than with me." He said. I kissed his cheek. "I'm sorry. If you would of said something I would of stayed with you. You're my best friend and I love you." I say. "But now we're home and we can do something just the two of us." I said with a smile. Ethan smiled. "How about Friday? We could go go carting." Ethan said. My smile fades. "What?" He asked. "Well. You see the thing is. Nash wanted to hand out before he leaves and he wanted to do it Friday." I say. "Is it a date?" Ethan asked. I could tell he was angry. "Kinda." I say. Ethan just nodded. "Please don't be mad at me or hate me. I cant go through that again." I say. Tears formed in my eyes as I thought about the time Ethan and I were in a fight. Ethan wrapped his arms around me. "I could never hate you and I'm not mad. I love you Mads." He says. I hug him back. "Thank god." I said. After that we just talked. The best thing about Ethan and I is that we rarely run out of things to say and when we do we can just sit in comfortable silence till we find something else to talk about. After a while of talking we decided to take a nap.

*skip to Friday*
I was in my living room waiting for Nash to knock on the front door. There was still 30 more minutes till he should get here so I played on my phone. I had curled my hair, put on a tiny bit of makeup, and I was even wearing a dress. I never wear dresses. Nash and I were going on a date. Yes a date. I figured that maybe it was time to move on from Ethan because clearly nothing is going to happen there. But I know I can't date Nash because he lives in a completely different state. I hear a knock on the door. I jumped up and ran to the door. Nash was early. I threw open the door. "Hey Na- Ethan?" Instead of Nash, Ethan was standing in front of me. "Hey, I just wanted to wish you luck and all." Ethan said. I smiled. "Thanks. But Nash is almost here so I'll talk to you later." I say. "Ok you look beautiful by the way." Ethan said. I blushed. "Thanks." I kiss his cheek. Ethan looked like he was going to say something but I guess he decided not to because he just walked away. Then I see a car pull into my drive way and Nash gets out. I smile. He walks up to me and extended his hand. "M'lady." He says. I giggle and take I his hand. Nash and I walk to his car hand and hand. He opens my car door for me and closes it. He gets in the car and we're off. "So where are we going this fine evening?" I ask. "Well i was thinking that we could go to dinner and bowling." He said. "Sweet. I love bowling!" I say. "Thank god. I was really worried." He said. I laughed. "You don't have to worry I'm really easy to please." I say. Nash looks over at me and smiles. He takes one hand off the steering wheel and grabbed my hand. I smiled and that's how we road for the rest of the date.

*Skipping date!*
Nash pulled up into my drive way and parked. The date was really fun. "I had a great time." I say. "Me too. I wish I could stay longer. I would love to have you as a girlfriend." Nash says. I blush. "You would make a pretty awesome boyfriend." I say. "So it's settled of we ever live close to each other and are single we have to date." Nash said. "Sounds like a plan." I say. Nash got out of the car and opened my door. We both walked up to my front door. "I'm going to miss you." Nash said. "I'm going to miss you to." I say truthfully. "It sucks to say but bye." He said. "Bye." I say quietly. Nash started to lean in and so did I. Our lips were about to touch but I heard the front door open and I had yanked inside. I let out a small scream. The door slammed shut. I turned around and came face to face with Ethan. "What the hell man?" I yelled. "Sorry. I just um. I'm your best friend and it's my job to ruin stuff." He said. I tried to be mad at him but I can't. I just rolled my eyes. "Well thanks for that." I said sarcastically. I opened the door again. I saw Nash getting in his car. I waved goodbye to him and he waved back. I decided to text him.
M: sorry that was Ethan
N: I know he gave me a serious glare before shutting the door lol
M: are you mad?
N: no. It's fine. I have to go. Texting and drive isn't a good idea, talk to you later
M: ok bye! I had lots of fun by the way!
With that the text stopped. "You know you just stopped my first kiss you jerk." I say to Ethan. "I know. But that's what best friends are for." He shrugged. I lightly hit him. He just laughed. "Let's watch a movie!" I say. "Sure what movie?" He asked. I thought about it. "Let's watch frozen!" I say excitedly. I know every word to every song in that movie and I am not ashamed and although Ethan won't admit to anyone but me he does too. Ethan and I run into the living room. Ethan lays down on the couch and I put the movie in before joining. For the rest of the night we cuddle and watch movies. It was great.
