Oblivious

Chapter 21

"Madison wake up." I hear someone whisper. I felt a pair of lips touch my cheek. I open my eyes. Ethan's face is inches away from mine. I could lean in and kiss him right now if I wasn't such a chicken. "Morning." I say tiredly. I rub my eyes and sit up. I yawn and stretch. "Do you want to get some breakfast. We have waffles." Ethan said. I close my eyes. "I like waffles." I say. I was still so tired. "Well then let's go." Ethan said. I felt him get out of the bed. I just sat there with my eyes still closed. "Are you coming?" Ethan asked. I slightly nodded my head. "Yeah." I say but I didn't make a move to get up. "Come on. Let's get some waffles." Ethan said. I lifted my arms up indicating that I wanted him to carry me downstairs. He chuckled. I opened my eyes. "Please?" I asked. He smiled and nodded his head. He leaded down and I wrapped my arms around his neck and he put one arm under my legs and one on my back and lifted me up. He carried me bridal style down stairs.

We walked past the downstairs bathroom. "I have to go to the bathroom." Ethan said. "Ok put me down I'll meet you in the kitchen." I say. I was more awake now. Ethan put me down and went into the bathroom. I started to walk to the kitchen. I stopped when I heard voices. "They obviously like each other. Did you see them all cuddled up this morning?" It was Mrs.Dolan. "Yes and she's a sweet girl. I think they are perfect for each other." That was Mr.Dolan. Are they talking about Ethan and I? No he can't possibly like me. I didn't want to snoop so I walked into the kitchen. "Good morning Mr and Mrs.Dolan." I say. "Morning Madison. How did you sleep?" Mr.Dolan asked. "Pretty good. Ethan and I came down here to get breakfast. He's in the bathroom right now." I tell them. Just then Ethan walked into the kitchen. "Morning mom and dad." He said. "Morning honey. Your father and I have to get to work. Behave yourselves." Mrs.Dolan said. Her and Mr.Dolan walked out of the kitchen. "Waffle time!" I shout when I hear the front door close.

Ethan got the waffles out of the freezer while I got the syrup out of the cabinet. I turned around and bumped right in to Ethan. I almost fell but he caught me. Our faces were really close. I looked at his lips and thought about how kissable they are. I looked back in his eyes and I swear he started to lean in. "Hey guys!" Grayson yelled as he walked into the kitchen. Ethan and I jumped away from each other. Was Ethan about to kiss me? "Get ready!" Grayson said excitedly. He was completely oblivious to what I think might have happened. "Why?" Ethan asked. He seemed annoyed. "You, me, Madison, Bobbi, the fair right now. So hurry up and let's go!" Grayson said. I shrieked and jumped up and down. "I love fairs!" I yell. I ran up to Ethan's room and opened one of his dresser drawers. He had a drawer just for my clothes. I practically live here. I grab some high waisted shorts and and a crop top. I run out of Ethan's room, passing by Ethan on the way out, and ran into the bathroom. I grabbed the tooth brush that I leave at their house and put tangerine toothpaste on it. I despise mint. I brush my teeth and my hair then Ethan walked in. I ran out and back into his room. I shut his door and threw my clothes off. I put on the cloths that I picked out. I put on my shorts and my shirt. I had just finished putting my shirt on when Ethan walked in. "First knock. Second hurry up!" I say. "First it's my room. Second leave so I can change." Ethan said. I smiled and nodded my head. I ran out of his room but before I did I kissed Ethan on the cheek. "This is going to be fun!" I yelled.

Ethan and Grayson came down stairs all ready to go. "We have to pick Bobbi up so you guys sit in the back." Grayson said. He grabbed the car keys and we walked out the door. Ethan and I got in the back while Grayson got in the front. "I'm so excited." I say. I seriously love fairs. "Yeah it'll be fun. By the way I got your birthday presents! Are you excited to be turning 16?" Ethan asked. "Yes! I can't wait to get my license. Having a learners permit is no fun. What did you get me?" I asked. I was curious. "I can't tell you it's a surprise. You have to wait till tomorrow." Ethan said. I scooted over to the middle seat and grabbed Ethan's arm. I laid my head on his shoulder and looked up at him. "Please?" I asked. He shook his head. "Nope. It's a surprise." He said. I kissed his cheek. "I'll love you forever and ever." I say. "You will any ways. I'm just that perfect." Ethan joked. Yes you are. I thought. "Fine don't tell me." I said. I scooted back over and crossed my arms. I made my face look angry and I didn't look at Ethan. "Don't worry I won't but guess what." He said. I ignored him. I was just pretending to be mad at him so he'll tell me. I really want to know what he got me. "Madison, answer me!" Ethan whined. I ignored him again. He scooted over next to me. "Please?" He asked. Once again I ignored him. He started to kiss my cheek repeatedly. "Please. Please. Please." He said in between cheek kisses. He had kissed my cheek about twenty times till I finally caved. "Ok fine. What?" I asked. "I love you." He said with a big grin. I couldn't help but smile. "Love you too." I say. "Would you guys just go out already!" Grayson yelled. I blushed. Ethan scooted away. "That would be weird man." Ethan said. I think my heart just shattered. "Yeah totally weird." I said. Grayson pulled into Bobbi's drive way. I know it's silly to cry over things like that but I had to hold my tears back. Bobbi got in the car. She leaned over and kissed Grayson. They are goals. I want a relationship like theirs. They are just so perfect for each other. She looked back and smiled at me. "Hey girl!" She said. I gave her a small smile. "Hi." I said. Are you ok? Bobbi mouthed. I mouthed back tell you later. "Hey Ethan." Bobbi said. "Hey." He replied. Grayson backed out of Bobbi's driveway and we were off to the fair. Bobbi and Grayson held hands as we drove. How cute! "Oh my gosh. Madison we are totally matching right now." Bobbi said. I looked up and noticed she was right. We literally had the same shirt and shorts on. I laughed. "I can't help that we both have a great since of fashion." I say. Bobbi laughed too.

The rest of the way there we listened to music. We were halfway to the fair when the song First Date by Blink 182 came on. "Oh my gah! Turn it up!" I yelled. Bobbi turned the sound all the way up. I started to dance. I love this song. I look over to see Ethan recording me on his phone. I glared at him but continued to dance. The song ended and Ethan started to laugh. "Nice moves." He said. I did a hair flip. "I know." I say. Grayson pulled into a parking lot and I got really excited. I could see all the rides. Grayson parked and Bobbi and I jumped out of he car and started to run to the entrance. "Hurry up guys!" I yelled. "Yeah! The fair awaits us!" Bobbi yelled. We both laughed. We reached the ticket booth and waited for the guys. They finally caught up with us. We bought the tickets and went inside.
