Kai slept on the couch that night. He knew his sister needed space but why she needed it, was his question.

He also had learned about his parents, and sure he was sad now that they were dead, but Krux was right. Rather him rase them over some foster system in Ignasia.

Finally morning came and Nya emerged from her room. Kai had been up for a bit, as she could tell, and was making some breakfast.

"Now will you tell me what's going on?" He asked, laying a plate of food in front a chair.

She pulled said chair from its resting place and sat down. "I...I don't think Krux is telling the truth." She said taking a bite of egg.

Kai sat down across from her, picking up a tater-tot with his fork. "Why's that?" He asked biting down on it.

"It's just.." she took a harsh breath before laying her fork down. "I don't think our parents are dead, like, I have this feeling, that they are still alive. I mean how did they both get sick and Krux is still alive, unharmed. I've never seen him ever struggle with sickness, nor ever mention our parents. Why now? Why tell us something he could have told us when we were kids?" She dumped looking up at her brother.

Kai gave a few blinks before looking at his food. "I think...maybe he..." Kai tried to find the words but his sister was right.

"I don't know why he didn't tell us, but like he said, 'He couldn't let us grow up without parents."

Nya sighed. "Your right, but still, I think they are alive." She tapped her fork on the now cold bacon she didn't touch.

"How bout this?" Her brother started. "I'll take a look around the swamp, you go train and say I had a headache or something, will that make you feel better?" He asked.

She smiled. "I would but... I don't think they are down here." "Then I'll go and see if there is anything."

She gave another smile as she finished the rest of her eggs. Kai finished his meal and placed it in the sink.

"Kai?" She called and he turned. "Don't... don't get into trouble, you always are for me." She said, and Kai gave a small chuckle.

"I do it because I care for you." He said before walking over to get changed into something more stealthy.

Nya knew that her brother would probably die for her, she hated that. Once when they were younger, Nya knocked over an important piece of equipment Krux was working on.

When Krux turned to hear the noice he got angry, Kai quickly picked it up and said he had knocked it over.

This continued, when Nya was 12 (Kai around 14) they were sparing and Nya managed to break a special casing holding a very special sword Krux had.

Kai quickly told her to go to the other end of the room when Krux came in; making it look at though he had hit the case.

Nya didn't see her brother for a few days, Kai never told her what went on but when he came back with bruises, I knew Krux probably made him train with little to no sleep, a way he disciplined the both of them, through rarely ever Nya.

That was why Nya hated Krux, because Kai always made sure Krux would hit him over her. She hated that Kai feared what he would do to her.

She shook her head as she took her empty plate to the sink. Kai emerged a few moments later in a full black suit with dark green highlight.

"Ok, you think this is good enough?" He asked and she smiled. "Please just, don't get yourself hurt." She said hugging him.

He smiled. "Promise." He said stepping back but keeping his hands on her shoulders. "Besides I've done this before, you know that."

"Ya but it was to steal some cookies, not information on our parents." Nya said turning her head to the side.

"Hey, whatever happens you know I can handle." Kai said dropping his arms. "Ya, because I know nothing will happen." She said punching him.

He laughed and turned to the door. "Don't spar to hard, it's still the weekend." "I know I know." She said almost pushing him out. "Now go."

It didn't take long for Kai to reach Krux's residence. Like Nya said, he had snuck in many times, and hopefully this time would be no different.

He managed to get on the roof and went for a high window Krux usually left open. It was thin, but just big enough for him to go feet first and swing onto a rafter.

He managed to make it to the dinning area where he held his body on the top side of the rafters, listening down on the two siblings.

"So what is the plan exactly?" Acronix asked, fiddling with one of Krux's BorgPads.

"We have to go to the lab, I have some tweaking I need to do to some of the vermilion warriors before they are battle ready." Krux replied sipping at some coffee.

"And the siblings?" Acronix asked, lowering the pad.

"What about them?" Krux spoke, "It is there day off, I let them have it."

"So they aren't going to aid us?" Acronix asked as if he wanted them to be there.

"Why? Do you want to go and retrieve them, Nya will definitely try to kill you, as she does I, when I try to get them up on weekend." Krux joked.

"I mean, they are formidable opponents, they fight better then their parents did." Acronix mumbled. Kai learned in making sure he heard this part.

Krux choked on his drink when his brother said that. "They know their parents are dead, let's keep it that way." He said recatching his breath. "And besides, I trained them using Wu and Garmadons training, as well as a bit from Ray and Maya. I trained them in an art that could beat even Spinjitzue, though they still need more training."

"Speaking of spinjitzue, have you told them they may be elemental masters themselves?" Acronix questioned. Kai's eyes went wide and he leaned in even further.

"Now why would I do that, it's useless for them to know. Plus it would make them sloppy with their real training, and I can't have that."

Krux was right about that, Kai knew that if he had real elemental powers, he would definitely train less for his physical, but what if they really did have elemental powers! What if Kai could do what the ninja could back at the monastery.

He looked down at his own hands and breathed out. "What if I could make fire." He whispered.

"Anyway brother, we should get to the lab, if you do want to get my pupils go ahead, they can and will be usefull if you do." Krux replied standing.

"We might as well, plus I need to get a layout of this...swamp." He said before following his brother out.

Kai had to be quick.
