Fire, Water, and Time

Chapter 11

It didn't really register with Kai that his leg was caught until his free foot stoped pulling the rest of his body.

He whipped his head back to see his left foot caught in ice. He gave a groan and turned to the ninja now running at him. He quickly turned as best he could and re-readying himself.

He did take a quick glance to make sure his sister was safe, and when he saw her standing on the roof with one of the time siblings he let out a breath of relief.

Nya on the other hand, breathed in sharply. "We have to go get him!" She said and Acronix shook his head.

"We don't have the power-" "Then wheres your blade!" She tried staring down. "Nya! We have to go before more ninja show!" He said grabbing her arm.

"I'm not leaving my brother!" "You have to!"

The next thing that came out of her mouth was something she thought she would never say. "Krux would go back for him! I know he would!" She said wrenching her arm out of his grip.

"Nya! He is trapped in ice and if we don't go, we will be too!" This caused Nya to loosen a bit, he was right.

She gave a harsh sigh before following Acronix back to the museum. "We'll find out exactly how to get your brother back once we are in the swamp."

Kai, on the other hand, was not expecting anyone to come and save him, but he almost enjoyed that.

The rest of the ninja circled him. "I would give up if I were you!" Cole said smashing his fists together.

Jay used his nunchucks and shot lightning through them. Skylor readied the ice; she needed it incase this guy somehow broke free.

Lloyd had a blast of energy ready, and all were ready to attack at any moment.

Kai was almost surprised, and sort of amused. "Y'all have to use your powers in a fist to fist combat?" Kai asked with a laugh. "Weak."

"That's it!" Jay shouted charging at him. He quickly ducked down and quickly pulled out his sword to fling his nunchucks away, with the man.

Cole was next using his earth and shooting at the guy. Kai quickly leaned to the side, avoiding them as the guy came in for a punch.

Kai leaned far back and used his free leg to kick him over his head.

Skylor and Lloyd went at the same time, both shooting there powers at him. This was fine for Kai, he simply turned, making his body skinnier and causing the blast to zip bast him and hitting the opposite persons.

"Really? Cant even beat a guy who got his foot stuck in ice." He laughed before using the blunt end of his sword to break the remaining ice.

"It's sad really, you all were trained by the mighty master Wu, and you can't even beat a guy with a sword." He continued as he started to walk away.

Cole stood up. "No, but this time you don't have a time blade." He said using his Spinjitzue. Kai quickly went for his trick, only for the guy to come out of his tornado and throw to fists down beside his head.

It didn't register with Kai that he was now on the ground, until the less familiar blue of the sky made him squint slightly.

"Anymore cocky comments?" Cole asked. Kai was breathing heavily now. This was the first time anyone got this close to crushing his skull.

He kept his eyes locked on the earth ninja until he felt a harsh cold on both his hands. He let out a harsh hiss as ice froze his hands down.

Cole got off of him. He wasn't really planning on knocking the guy clean but damn, he was so damn close to crushing him.

Skylor froze the guys hands together, behind his back, as they walked back to there vehicles. Jay was far enough away from him and Lloyd was the one holding the guy, even though he was a good foot shorter then him.

As they made it to the vehicle they started to load up. The guy had other plans.

He kicked Lloyd hard and started off. "You've got to be kidding me!" Lloyd cried as he started after him.

"How much energy does one dude have?" Jay asked before also going off. "Well?" Skylor asked jumping into her vehicle. Cole smiled before also hoping in his.

Kai was fast, he knew that. Though it was much harder for him to run with his hands frozen behind his back, but he was still fast.

He was looking for anything, anything he could use to his advantage. He rounded an alleyway with ladder. He quickly turned his back to it and rammed it hard. It took a good three hits before the ice broke.

He had to breathe into his hands to warm them up. Before he started climbing. As he reached the top he could see the ninja reaching the ladder. But instead of climbing they preformed this move which, to Kai's dismay, made them fly on top of the roof.

"Flying ninja, what could be worse." He mumbled as he started to run across rooftops.

He jumped from one building to another as they followed behind, he was getting tired now, and it showed.

The ninja were gaining on him, fast. He spotted a stairwell and used the railing to jump back to ground level.

He ran again, through the streets, almost getting hit by vehicles. Some people even throwing fists at him.

At one point the ninja somehow cornered him in an ally with no exist and he was forced into an existing door of a restaurant.

People were a bit shocked that there quiet meals were ruined by some dude barging in.

He found a set of stairs as the ninja entered from both the front and exit doors.

He quickly hurried up them and into another roof, this one a bit taller and farther away from the rest.

As he made it to the top, so did the ninja.

Jay was panting and Skylor used some ice to cool the blue ninja down, noticing how long she had it. "Guys we have to get him, I don't know how much longer I can hold Zane's ice."

Cole and Lloyd nodded and Jay tried to stand up straight. "You jump from this hight! It won't end well for you!" Lloyd tried stepping closer.

Subsequently Kai took a step back, feeling his heel off the edge of the building.

Kai let out a breath. He knew the only way for him to get away would be to land. He had jumped from this hight before, but he also wasn't this tired.

He let out another breath before weighing his options. As he did so something sharp hit him in the shoulder.

He gave a small side stumble before look down, a small needle pointing out of his arm.

"Misako!" The ninja cried as an older woman held up a small gun of some sort.

Kai could feel it now, and he started to black out. He looked back down over the edge then back up.

"Oh come on dude! Don't do it!" The one in blue tried before Kai gave a harsh smile.

He spread out his arms and leaned back, if they wanted him, they had to find a way to catch him.
